I've always taken heart in the notion that paintball accidents were caused by poor decision making. I'm very careful and aware whenever handling my air tanks and co2. But this vid is a bit unnerving! My superman days might be over...

Yikes, did he get knocked out? Both of them looked seriously messed up...

Fox urine nothing! I would rent an elephant from the local circus and give it a massive dose of ex-lax. I would then proceed to "cork it" with an attached string so when the kids show up KABLOOEE!!!!!! See if their parents can sue an elephant for defacating! -ZZaque

In the youtube thread one guy said that one dude broke an ankle and the other got the wind knocked out and passed out. That's what I think it said... there was no punctuation or proper spelling.

Moved to Safety. I seem to remember that what happened was the regulator broke in half. At just 800 PSI, the tank wouldn't have enough force to fly around like that. We've all seen gun hoses vent at full pressure. While they're a bit scary, they're not uncontrollable by any means.

Alittle old but its always a good reminder of what could happen. The tank was a Stako, made from composites and a fiber wrap instead of the standard steel core most CF use. So far the tank is still not legal in the US last I heard.

The video title says the ASA broke. That cannot be correct or else the pin valve would have sealed the tank as soon as it came off the gun. The broken regulator sounds much more plausible.

Incidents like that make me think my elbow pads were a good investment. Now when I dive I can land elbows first thus keeping the gun and tank off the ground.

Isn't it strange that with all that open ground out there, the tank managed to home in on that guys ankle?

Actually the ban was lifted a month or two ago after an investigation.

I figured that much, the ban was put in place after tanks where leaking through the skin, I was wondering if they had paced DOT certification yet.
