~RICOCHET APACHE~

Posted Image

Now i have my hands on a Ricochet Apache. Overall, i really like it, and wouldnt trade it in for any other hopper.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
PROs:

- fast (up to 20bps)
- really does deflect balls
- handy game timer built in along with a nice LCD if you buy one with the LCD.
- somewhat lightweight
- Comes with 0-ring replacements for feed neck
- Lid on top so paint doesnt fly out
- Holds about 160 rounds (perfect for me)
- Ricochet will replace the hopper shell if it breaks.
- not a massive target from the front.
- very tough (durable)
- with it comes some of the best customer service ive ever seen!
EDIT: - After using for a year now, everything still applies. A great and durable hopper!!

CONs:
- Shuts off after being idle for a while (good in somecases, but not in the middle of a game)
- when you turn it on it beeps really loud (not good for this reason ---^)
- breaks paint once in a while from agitating (impales the balls and the shell of the ball gets stuck on the paddle) If this happens Ricochet will send you a longer paddle for free!
- to take the hopper apart, you must unscrew a crapload of screws, which strip VERY easily. I already stripped one, but that was my fault because the phillips head i was using was too small.*
- its shiny; reflects light
- Needs two 9 volt batteries to operate
- pretty big target from the sides, but so is your gun, so....

*If your gonna take it apart make sure the phillips head (+) isnt too small. Just because it may fit, it WILL strip your screws and youll never get it apart correctly.

Overall:

Looks: 10/10 (very sweet looking hopper in person)
Performance: 10/10 (couldnt be happier)
Price: 8/10 (Its up there)
Durability: 9/10**

** After playing with this hopper. Ive dropped it. Had big branches fall on it, and gone through a crapload of thorns. The hopper isnt damaged in any way.

Total: 9.25/10 (average of all 4)

Great hopper, i was just about to write the review, but you nailed it on the head,

i must add i think its only your paddels that impale the ball, i've never had that problem, and this thing is so durable you can pour watter in it to clean it! (i dont take the skrews off i just rinse it!

Update: After contacting Ricochet via email, they are going to send me a longer paddle for the hopper. If this works, i will change my review accordingly.

Truely, Ricochets customer service is awesome. They are sending me this no charge and are very helpful.

its a good buy, i have a richochet padding for my R-5 hopper, it fits in my appache (its smoke so it looks ugly), it works ok, but you loose 5-10 balls from it (as in 190 cant fit in because of padding)

you can get upgrade paddels for the apache, contact Richochet they might send you some free, if not just $10, no s/h (i think)

the Appache will keep up with the ion, 20bps>17bps

I ordered one a few days ago [Apache LEDs were on sale for 50 bucks] and it should be arriving at my house soon.

I'll add my own review as soon as I get a chance to test it out.

Good write up millhouse. It's always good to hear about good customer service.

well i found a "CON" for my Appache yesteday, i was taking the hopper off my ion (stock feedneck part of problem) and one of the orings got way streched out, i put another one on, and now the internal o-rings of my ion are fouled up,

moral of the story, im getting a locking feedneck

Are you sure you had the right size of o-rings on the apache's neck?
