Well, as some of you know, a while ago, my house was broken into and most all of my gear was stolen. Well I finally have some insurance money from that (homeowners). So I am in the market for a new HE marker.

I am looking for a poppet, but thats not really a HUGE deal.. But I would like one.

I was looking into Eteks and Etek II's, but the only thing that keeps me away for now is the price tag. I was also looking into F8's but I haven't held one and haven't heard the greatest about the Opti-switch. I looked into Aliens too, but I think they are ugly as sin... :D
I haven't held a mini forever, so I am considering that, I am going to a pro shop soon to hold them all and decide, but I was thinking, is there any other markers I might want to consider?

Thanks to anyone in advance...

Legends and Timmys. Of course, my vote will go to the Mini. :D

I'm not sure what your price range is but an 06 Cyborg will run you $650 new (if we can find any) or about $500-600 used. For that price range, it will easily beat out anything else you'll find in that price range in efficiency, reliability and just plain "works every time and well."

I was talking in general but the Alias series would be the best bet since they're the newest. You could also look at the Protege, its weighs less than a Mini.

I think Kai at RenjerzProshop.com may still have a few in stock. But yeah, a used 06 Cyborg will save you a hundred bucks to spend towards a good loader.

Like me... $510 (shipped to Canada and I covered PayPal fees, too!) for a dust black 06 Cyborg in great condition (before I got my hands on it and messed up the battery harness... lol) with Dark Seoul grips, PBK Saber trigger and Snakeskin bolt, Kila detents, CP rail and on/off, came with macroline and fittings, as well as original detents/trigger/bolt/bolt pin. No stock grips though, but that doesn't really matter. All it takes is a little searching. I doubt there's many other $500 markers available that will shoot 33+bps (with paint), get a case off a 68/45, and look as awesome as a Borg :). And it's pretty light as well... lighter than my friend's Fusion it seems, as well as better feeling because of the bottom fitting instead of side fitting on the regulator. Which, by the way, is apparently an amazing regulator and will give you +-5fps or less once broken in right.

Yea, I'm pretty happy with my purchase :D . I put a nice 45/45 on it (soon to have a MacDev cover) and I'm getting a Torque this week, but can't actually test it until my new battery harness (and four 9V's) comes in and I get my tank filled (which should get me 1300 or so shots).

I just picked up a Magna Drive a few days ago, Its in the mail on its way to me

I am going to a pro shop in a few days to hold a few markers to see how they feel to me... I am really looking into:

F8
Mini
Etek II (a little pricy... but idk)
