Go 12" or 14". 16" is too long IMO. The Dye UL is great. The Proto 2pc is awesome also.

I love my Dye UL 14" .692. I can shoot anything out of it. I also have a stiffi .689 for smaller paint, but I'm going to be getting a .689 ul back

I actually think the proto is a little lighter too...it's weird.

Dye has always made a pretty decent barrel - at least the old stainless steel ones I've seen were always nice. If you like the Dye UL, Pick a length that you're comfortable with - in this case it has no impact on performance. The back portion of the barrel remains the same and the front portion never touches the paintball.

It really depends on your area and the paint sold there, but when selecting bore size I find paint is rarely large enough that it won't fit though a .688 bore. In most cases I see .692 is a little large. However, if you're going to error it's still better to error on the side of too large.

Ok. Either the Proto1 or the Dye UL (both 14). Any tips?
