The Incident with the broken ASA or Reg was a Freak Accident and it doesnt happen all the time, which also reminds me of a pic I saw in a magazine, where a player jumper over the Snake in a Tournament, his HPA Tank was the first to hit the ground, which Snapped the Drop Forward at its weakest point, in the same magazine, it showed another pic of the same player walking off the field and holding the Tank in one hand, while still holding onto his Marker with the hand and the injury sustained by the player was his Pride.

There were some ACI Bulldog air systems that did this with amazing regularity. There were lots of reports of entire regs blowing off or burst discs randomly blowing off with excessive force. Including one with a reg snapping in half. I always keep a lookout for ACI Bulldogs in BST. I spotted one about a year ago, and eventually managed to convince the seller it was unsafe. Those things are bad news, so never ever buy one.

they dont sell them anymore do they? like online. and if they are, are they cheap to where a new person sees that and gets it because of the price

Not sure if they're still made, but they were made recently enough to still be kicking around and still be in hydro (scary). Check HERE to see what I mean.

"This tank is one of the worst 200 dollar headaches ever ive gone through 3 guages they all leaked. The first after one week, the second after 3 days, and the 3rd after 3 min. when it decided to literally blow up in my face luckly it only grazed my cheek as it flew across the paintball shop. the only good part about aci that i see is that it usally has a good customer service crew yet they have not respond ed to my emails in 2 weeks which is slowly getting on my last nerve."

Also people saying there's almost no Loctite on the regulator and that it comes loose. And that the fill nipple breaks off completely and is proprietary so you can't replace it with a GOOD one. Basically it's a horrible regulator with entirely proprietary components so you can't just replace the failed parts with good ones.

Yup. So lesson learned: if you see anyone selling an ACI Bulldog, it's your duty to inform the seller that this tank is unsafe. Report it to forum staff, too, and we'll ensure it gets taken care of. I posted a note the air systems guide in BST, as well. HPA is normally very safe, and, aside from a few early systems made from 2000-2001, there have been very few safety problems with the regulators themselves. The ACI Bulldog III stands out: it was made up until 2005 or so and was NOT recalled. This makes it particularly dangerous because most people think problems like that are a thing of the past, and all got recalled. These tanks are still floating around in original hydro.

that happened to a kid by me. he left his stuff on a picnic table in the, i guess lounge area. he walked away to get some paint and we hear this highpitched sound. not after 2 seconds of the sound did the top of his tank burst (like in the video) and his tank went flying around the place.
