My mom made me eat well done my entire life, and I don't even mean like kind of well done..like dry all the way through and gross type of done. Now I eat it medium rare, because my sister in law won't let me eat it any less cooked.

I don't mind Medium Rare. Honestly, even Medium is passable.

Someone tonight, at work, ordered a Medium Well Ahi Tuna. We use Sashimi grade Ahi Tuna. As in you can safely eat it straight out of the freezer (yes, 95% of our proteins are frozen... living in SWVA sucks for more than one reason). But cooking that Tuna to a common persons "Medium Well"... that hurt my soul.

That hurt my soul reading about. Seriously, sashimi grade Ahi, just sear it and sell it.

Was cooking steaks for the family tonight. My Dad eats it Medium, my mom Med Well, my sister is somewhere in between.
I had them marinated for a while, and threw the three of theirs on. My Dad asked me where mine was. I pointed at the covered plate and said 'I'm waiting for yours to get more cooked.' A few minutes later my mom asked how long, I told her two minutes, as I threw mine on the grill. They both looked at me all weird.

And it was delicious.

Can pizza be considered a meat ? It has meat on it ...

Maybe I should ask what is the best pizza meat ? hamburger, sausage - pork or italien, ham - canadien or american, pepperoni, chicken ??

I favor two pizzas primarily, not including the occasional Hawaiian to mix it up.

Supreme. Your major meats (Peperoni, Sausage, Ham) and your major veggies (bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives, and (most importantly in my book) fresh tomatoes). Like Godfather's Pizza used to make. I'd commit voting fraud for Herman Cain if he'd bring that pizza back.

Ultimate Meat. Spicy Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Bacon, Ham, Beef, and some Banana Peppers to add some zing. FRAG chicken, that crap doesn't belong on a pizza.

I favor deep dish, pan, and hand tossed crusts. Not a big fan of cracker thin crusts. if I wanted a cracker with pepperoni on it, I have Ritz.

Oh, and an honorable mention for legit Margherita pizza. Done right, it is the only thin crust pizza I enjoy.

i like the thinner crusts.. lots of tomatoes/sauce.. almost dripping with it ... you ever had a fried pizza ? sorta like a calzone, but you load it upwith all that you want, all the cheeses and meats and veggies you desire, and you put a second layer of dough over the top, and you put it in a fryer like the kind you do turkeys in ... it cooks really fast, so don't leave it in more than a few minutes .. depends on how big you made it and stuffed it ... anyway, you pull it out, cover it with more cheese or sour cream ... man oh man, it's awesome

Depends on what I'm going for.

Italian style stuff (specially subs) usually gets 80/20 ground chuck and Hot Italian Sausage, plus eggs and Italian Breadcrumbs to bind. Seasonings are salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, grated onion and garlic. If I really want to kick 'em up, I wrap baby mozarella balls in the center.

Yakitori style stuff usually gets chicken, garlic, ginger, skewered on bamnoo with scallions, grilled and sauced with a teriyaki style glaze.

Almost every culture has it's meatball variant. I play to what I'm cooking.
