Does anybody have any pointers regarding disassembling the A5A2 air thru stock? Is it common for it to leak pressure when firing, decreasing FPS? The internals of my A5 were rusting, so I have disassembled it, cleaned, restored, and polished the internals. (..like a mirror near the rear of the receiver halves and near the front right up to the chamber ;] ) I figured that I should clean the rear connector in my air thru stock as well.

With that said, does anybody have any suggestions? Anything I should know before taking it apart?

One thing I do see, is a slight bit of oxidation on the metal inside the cap.

Put up a photo of your specific model of a5a2 stock. SO went through a few different designs.

There are two models of Commando Stocks, an older one and a newer one. The older air thru stock used Macroline with some hardware inside of the hollow stock, connecting the macro to a nipple at the bottom of the stock. As for the newer one, the air line is steal and the stock is molded around it.

Let me know if this makes sense and which one you have. From there we can probably help you figure it out.
