I would like to see some kind of ww2 looking bomb that you could buy from spec ops. Something thats made of plastic or something and has a timer in it. Once the timer has ended then the thing pops open and sprays paint like a spinkler. The player would need to actually hold down a lever or buttons for x amount of time to diffuse it. It would need to be reusable and have some kind of timer built into it. Would add to the fun of scenarios I think instead of the way fields get some stupid crate or construction cone and call it a bomb for the sake of the scenario.

The same kind of idea works with an alarm clock in a bag...You place the bag wherever you want and set the alarm. When the alarm goes off, everyone in X amount of feet of the bag is eliminated...you can diffuse the 'bomb' by resetting the clock...

Its cleaner and less complicated :P

I like that timer in the bag thing. Might have to steal that idea. I just thought since spec ops does the claymore...why not a fake dummy bomb shaped like a ww2 bomb to diffuse. If I can find a hollowed out dummy bomb I might have to improvise it into the alarm clock thing. That is assuming spec ops doesn't end up building one for retail first.

I have been thinking about building such a device only a bit more sofisticated. Basically, an armored box, key to open, combination electrical circuts to open another box, and finally, cut the right wire. To make it go off (alarm and spraying paint) the box is disturbed, time is up, or cut wrong wire.

Yeah i think they should make some realistic field props that actually do things. and price them right, then you could add the fun the private or on your own fields!

This reminds me of the "Special Ops" game I have for the original PlayStation.

Try a really big springloaded 12 gram landmine. It just needs to provide tension when the timer is up. But I like it!

I guess a Counterstrike-style bomb would be fun to solder together. Wouldn't really need a commercially made dummy-bomb, just a little imagination.
