It's all good.

In my opinion it is not necessary to upgrade because all it truly does is make the gun lighter and a few other little upgrades. Yes, it does come with a new board, I'm not sure on the exact specs but I'm sure it's just a few more modes, and customization features. Plus it has a new trigger, and new grips.

I think that you should wait until you're a little more experienced, and then start thinking about this upgrade, cause it 's pretty major, start looking at smaller things first, such as The back cap, Drop Forwards, Feedneck, Grips Trigger Etc. You'll be surprised about how these little things add up and improve the gun's overall performance and such. Plus a lot of those upgrades come on the UL, and you can by them separate cheaper. :)

And dwell is the amount of time the bolt "Dwell's" or stays forward after firing. I haven't ever touched mine except in cold weather but I'm pretty sure the way to set it is to turn the dwell all the way down, until he gun will not fire, slowly increase until the marker begins to fire, slowly increase until velocity stays consistent.

it's an upgrade i'd recommend. esp for the pmr, but like Duet said, i'd start a little slower..(barrel, back cap, asa, etc.)

I don't personally own a PMR, but have a PM6, and the rubber detents seem to last a while, and are very easily replaced. Just pull off eye cover, pull out detend, stick new one in.

Too bad i'm returning the damned thing. The eyes don't work along with everything else I got with the gun.

oh and just so you know..i'd get the spring detents asap, so when your stock detents are shot you'll have those to put in right away in case you're in the middle of a day at the field..

Most fields allow PSP as its a tourney mode.

Usually, fields have rules on not using Full-Auto (Which PSP is technically not) And they have a set RoF cap. Usually around 15BPS. Makes sure you know the rules because some fields don't even allow PSP, only pure semi.
