I just bought a lightly used Zeus G1, and have yet to be able to use it in the field (GOLLY GEE WILIKERS new england weather). I don't have a large enough barrel bag to fit over the muzzle once the magazine is in place. My holster is open at the end, and so I don't have a good way to bag the gun when I'm off the field. If anyone knows what the standard is for pistols when in the staging area please let me know.

Get the one for the Tac 8. The mag fed pistol my Tiberious Arms. Or find a barrel plug.

Use a "Flatline" barrel bag! That is what I do with my zues. It is big enough to fit the front of the pistol and the mag in.

Thanks, I'll probably just attach an over sized barrel bag into the holster to cover up the end.

I tend to agree with JJaxx. A bag designed for the Flatline barrel should work just fine for most pistols and pump guns, including PGPs.

I have an open holster for my Splatmaster (Tag8 holsters are all closed). I get around having a barrel bag due to the fact that it is not cocked, has no paint in it, and not aired up when in the holster. Anyone who has had a Splatmaster should know why this is ;)

According to my field - if it's in a holster and the saftey's on, magazine not attatched, you don't need a barrel condom. Otherwise, you do.

ill probably get flamed but i say so long as safty is on and its in your holster no worries, i dont see how it can possibly go off while its in the holster and even if it can you will have to be turned in some god aweful messed up position for the pistol to shoot someone in the eye, im guessing the holster is attached to your leg or somewhere at your side with the barrel pointing eather down or slanted? so eather you have to do a handstand or someone decides to lay down on the ground infront of you is about the only way someones eye would be in shooting lane

though another suggestion would be to modd your holster so its closed, get a thick heavy duty peice of leather and some buttion thread or other heavy duty thread or some fishing line and sew in a peice so its closed holster

At my feild, if it's in a holster and the safety is on, then you're good.

But since I am paranoid and my holster is open at the end, when I come off the feild I will gennerally sick a barrel plug in the pistol barrel through the hole in the holster.

With a pistol other than a Tag8 you should by an oversized barrel bag, most commonly a "Flatline bag." If you don't want to do that you could close off the end of your holster with duct tape or by sewing fabric over the end of it.

Murphy's law, DoN. It's always possible for something to go wrong and that small possibility is what the field owners have to be prepared for, and it's helps if the players do what they can too.

Get a Special Ops Flatline barrel condom. Those things are HUGE. You could put your mother-in-law in one.
Sigs aren't actually allowed on the Special Ops Forum, so I don't have one.

I have no idea what happened to my barrel bag for my tac 8. So i just keep it in the holster when im not on the field. Or if im playing just pistold safty on. But for both when im off the field i remove the mag. I if i remeber correctly the Zeus has a removable clip. Take it off.
