I have been following this somewhat closely since it's announcement. I did a forum-wide search and it didn't come back with anything, found that hard to believe so let me apologize ahead of time if this should've been tacked on elsewhere.

That is awesome. Hopefully when this is released it won't be to steep of a price hike against regular paint.

In interviews it seems that there could be a minor one unless the field is using Evil paint. However, this (I hope) will get the ball rolling for new paintball development so we can get a better product as an industry standard in a few years.

How much did they pay that guy to stand there and get shot in the face, several times? :)

I have been looking for stuff on this ball since I heard of it in Jan. Thanks man!

There are a few more vids floating around from Paintball Extravaganza in Anaheim, CA last year where the owner (Paul Ciesiun) speaks on the product. http://www.hydrotecpaintball.com/ is their site.

I saw a few on youtube, they look great.

I posted some links on another forum just to spread the news.

I to have been following this product quite closely as well. They are saying that their paintball is going to be a consistent .68 round. Also that the price for field owners will be cheaper but that the price participants pay will most likely stay around the same price as we are currently paying. But what that means is that field owners will make a better profit and this means is that fields can survive in today economy.

Hydrotec is also reporting a high shelf life for there product. Hydrotec claims that unlike gelatin paint that has issues with various temps the hydrotec paint does not have this problem.

So if all these claims are tire we have an excellent new paintball getting ready to hit the market.
