so, after watching Dude for awhile with his ghillie suit thrown into the mesh bag, then into the washer and out, I have to say, it's something I'd prolly wouldn't do again...but I'll admit, it's looks more authentic, but at the same time, on the verge of falling apart more...

he lost over 25% of his ghillie suit in the wash, and all the strands look shortened, i'm curious as to see what it'll look like when it's fully dry...

Doesn't burlap shrink when you wash it?

I may be mistaken.....

Don't worry about losing so much, it's normal, it would have eventually shed out anyways. Also if you want to go and take a brush or a 'fro pick and start combing the ghillie it'll thin it out a little more. But don't worry, as long as the burlap is secured tightly to the netting you don't need to worry. But before you decide what to do, post some pictures of the suit now.

No burlap doesn't shrink, to my knowledge, if anything it multiplies!!! like zombies or rabbits or bmw's!!!

I thought you sewed it on there? or did you make it to where it could come off? other than that I think it looks fine, you might want to add some to the middle of the back. And it is a shade darker, I think it'll blend alot better now.I'll post a picture of what mine looks like now. The changes are subtle but it feels lighter and looks better (imho).

ohh and Dizzy, you might want to go by Home Depot and get some wood treatment before that mold gets out of hand. :D
