Froyo adds some nice easy-features, as I call them, to the X. And changes txting just a bit. Im excited to see what gingerbread brings.

You should notice that your contacts look diff w a box around them. Once you click them you get communication options like txt, call, email, etc. Annnd they fixed that pesky msg logging issue in your contacts folder. Prior to this the phone stored all txts in contacts when you scrolled to the far left even if you deleted all txts in the txt app. It was crazy.

Your phone should be 30-40% faster overall. You now have flash. You can rotate the phone 270 degrees now and get landscape facing the other way. It came with a new office software to read PDFs. Your battery info is more detailed. You can turn on automatic updates on market apps, so you don't have to check daily. Storing apps on the SD card. There are tons of benefits to froyo. Update to Gmail app.

I used the 1-2-3 root method and after spending 15 min downloading and installing SDK and rebooting, i was rooted within 5 minutes. XD

Anyone with a Droid 2 have problems with it spazzing out on occasion and just having it swipe and select stuff randomly?
I was wondering if it had something to do with keeping it in my pocket.

Do you lock it before putting it in your pocket? Like hit the lock button so the screen turns off?

Yeah. It starts spazzing while I'm holding the thing, trying to text and stuff. I've had it make phone calls when it was just sitting on the table. I've gotten very good a quickly flipping the battery out though...

So I got to play a little bit with my friends Droid X and I must say, I hate you folks that have it. It was SLICK. So much faster than my Motorola Droid. I have a 2 year upgrade in November, so I may just be picking one up here soon. Better start doing some research ;)

love my Droid X. Best phone i've owned. Hands down without a question.

Just downloaded the Seeds of Life live wallpaper. Little sperm swimming on your screen. If you touch the screen they circle your finger. If you move an app they circle that and try to procreate with it. LOL

Logcat live wallpaper is cool too, just lists the activity log that your phone has as stuff is happening. Geeky to the extreme

One thing I've noticed is that I have the advanced task killer and I have to keep killing the bloatware it came with and evn then my memory will be slowly consumed by semingly nothing until I restart it, kill apps, and go into my settings and app manager to force stop the other ones running in the background...im guessing rooting will stop this?
