I have a Mini and think it is much better than the PMR, if only because you don't need to upgrade it immediately.

The Mini will give you better gas efficiency over the PMR as well. I really enjoy mine, its got a smooth trigger and feels great in my hands. Its incredibly easy to take care of and it includes a kit of o-rings and lube in case you break any (which doesn't happen often)

$325 is the lowest you'll find it new. I'm not 100% sure on efficiency, really.

From what I've seen (correct me if i'm wrong) the PMR has a few upgrades that can improve efficiency, where as the SLG has very few (but more will come).
It depends how long you can wait.
If you have time, wait 'till more stuff comes out for the SLG.
But the PMR was fine for efficiency with me, never really worried about it.
