My field is almost all woodsball, only having one speedball field. We use a surrender or die rule as well as usng touch bunkering rather than full bunkering. To us, full bunkering is a speedball move and that's fine, but we're not speedball.

Bunkering is the best part of paintball, well not the best but it sure is fun. I don't bunker anyone who isn't the same skill level as me, only people my skill level and above. Everyone on the field is fine with bunkering and getting bunkered so it's fine with me.

I'm sure you do, I'm also sure your style is adapted to the terrain you play in. You use some moves on a speedball field you wouldn't use in a thicket, and vice versa. For us, full bunkering is speedball only.

Lol, actually I have. I have the cuts to prove it. He thought I'd coem around one side of the bunker because there was a path there so I went around the other side and piled through the thorn bushes. You can do things like that when you dont label paintball as one way or another. Adaptation is mans greatest tool.

At our local woodsball field, bunker tagging is the rule we use.
Tag a bunker, everyone in it is dead. (Simulates tossing a grenade in.)
Dang handy too. :P

In speedball though, of course you should. Makes it all the more fun.

That's the field's rules more than mine, though full bunkering isn't really my personal style anyway. If I can get him out without shooting him, then the day's a little better for both of us in my mind.

Well, I've been playing pump for a while now, so when I bunker, it's usually one shot (rock-back gun). But I did bunker when I had the Ion. It's part of the game. If you use the technique effectively, it can be one of, if not the most valuable tools in your arsenal. Yeah, it hurts, but I don't think we shouldn't be allowed to do it.
Oklahoma D-Day '05 (352nd ID), '06 (352nd PJ), '07 (352nd PJ), '08 (352nd PJ), '09 (352nd PJ). It was a good run.
