Yo guys. I'm finally back after a long hiatus. After I put in a couple of parts orders I will be joining you at PBJ and possibly a couple of TAW games to.

Hey you guys, I posted in the last thread and sorta just dropped out. But anyways, I'll be dropping in this thread every once and a while.

I won't be able to get out on the field till mid January (Christmas, hopefully my mom gets me a Maverick, waiting for my vest to get in, still need to buy MOLLE attachments for the vest). I've got a lot of saving up to do but hopefully it'll all pay off when I get a pump.

Bummer... I'm thinking of making it to PBJ this Sunday and the next. I'm also planning on the TAW and Blackcat events in January... That's a lot of back to back weekends, but eh.. I'm still soaking it all up after a 10 year hiatus. Can you make it to TAW or Blackcat? both will be good urban fun...

Just made a thread on my marker here w/ picts:
My marker info/picts

Say hi.. My marker is fairly unique against all the electros at PBJ, so I shouldn't be too hard to spot.

Im having second thoughts about going to PBJ on the 23rd, the reasons being is that I wont get there till 9:30 or 10:00 am that Sunday morning from my Graveyard Job in Foster City and by the time I get to the field, I'll be Dead Tired just from the drive alone and the lack of sleep.

So anyone headed to PBJ on the 23rd? There was talk earlier in this thread on a meet up of sorts.. I'll be there. I'm also still planning on Bear Creek on the 30th. If anyone wants to carpool for Bear Creek from SF or along the way I'm down (I'll drive). I received a message from Sequoia stating that today (22nd) there was a higher than average turn out. I almost decided to go except the road is still blocked from the SF Bay side. Looking forward for TAW and Blackcat back to back weeks in January..

Cool.. I'll check it especially since its BYOP, etc. Though I guess there is a larger day at PBJ on the 30th.. Today was pretty fun. Met some new folks that were great to run with and they are interested in TAW and what not.

Though I'm kind of peeved at PBJ on the field paint only thing and vouchers. I just don't like the paint they have there and you never know what "high end" paint they might have or how long its been sitting around. I asked the fellow who took my $$$ in the morning if I bought 500 rounds (for $19!) could I get a voucher at the end of the day . He said yeah. So I use my paint and the day was awesome no breaks and my qloader worked flawless. At the end of the day I go up there to inquire on a voucher for next time with one of the more "official" reps and was denied because I bought the minimum amount of paint required ($19!); though you need 500 or more balls to get one. I argued for a bit as I don't mind paying $10 (a bag of 500 every 2nd time out) or even $15 every time out to use my own paint. I even said I'd give the bag of 500 back to them or throw it in the trash in front of them for a voucher (kept in cooler! doesn't matter though they have stale paint anyway!). I'm after consistency with the qloader as it's finicky and in shooting. I shot their paint once and it was a horrible day with lots of qloader problems let alone horrible accuracy. The $19 bag I purchased had oil in the bag which I deem as unsuitable for the qloader (sure you can open it up and air it out over night!) or as they suggested get a towel and wipe it off; um, no! I already miss the first game cause of loading the qloader! ;P I was like get real. I want to support you guys, but I need to buy the same paint that works and not switch up all the time because it can ruin a day out and more (and a 2nd day as I shoot around 800-1000 a day; I aim to hit not suppress). I know there are pro shops that will give vouchers for PBJ when you buy paint and I inquired on this and got a snide remark, "Oh, you have to ask around we won't tell you." I'm like screw off now I'm not trying to cheat the system here. Essentially $40 ($20 entry / $10 all day air / $10 buy a bag of 500 ($19) every 2nd time out) seems like supporting a field to me especially coming out twice a month which is roughly what I do. I just wished they weren't so snide and secretive on the voucher thing. I just want consistency with my gear/paint and to have a fun time like today and reasonably support a field. Blah.. rant off.. ;P They just come across a little greedy to me.

I did talk to one of the Hornet fellows about SPPL when he saw my marker and asked if I play scenario. When I mentioned that PBJ would be perfect for a minor SPPL game he was really into the idea. I'd like to see something like this go down as PBJ does have a nice layout for the format, so I might bring it up again to Bob or something. Hey, he'll make a killing on selling paint..

So yeah.. Gonna check out Bear Creek.. It would be nice if people showed up there regularly as I could switch to going there even though it's probably a good 30 min more of a drive for me..
