Ok, everyone. Here is a game that is coming to DFW Adventure park on March 7-8 2009.

This looks like a real fun game and will be a good change from the normal. It will have a lot of twists and turns and things that you don’t see much of. Here is the storyline as of now:

Escape from Ft. Worth

March 7-8, 2009

DFW Adventure Park
Roanoke, Texas

Pre-registration $50 Includes all event HPA/CO2
Pre-Reg ends Feb 24, the normal registration price is $65
Pre-reg online or at DFW Adventure Park

Here is the link to the registration: Registration for Single Escape from Fort Worth

Only $50 per person and there is also a special deal for teams at just $225 for a 5 person team (or 5 people that register together)

********************************************************************
March 2004, Damascus, Syria
A stainless steel container that resembled a small fire extinguisher was stolen from a military warehouse in Damascus. The thieves were after military weapons that they could sell. Inside the container was weaponized Ebola, modified so that it was highly contagious by air. It was rejected for use because this strain did not have a half life, and it has only 60% fatality rate as opposed to the 88% fatality rate of the natural strain of Ebola.
***********************************************************
January 2008, Istanbul, Turkey.
A mass outbreak of Ebola has caused over 7,000 deaths in the last week. The source is unknown, but the outbreak has spread to the United States, Brazil, China, Germany, Russia, and Australia.
*********************************************************
May 2008, Washington, DC
With 60% of Americans dead, the Emergency Powers Act has consolidated State and Federal Corrections Facilities to just 8 major Penal Clearinghouses to protect the surviving Americans from convicts that were escaping from understaffed correctional facilities.
************************************************
February 2009, Ft Worth, Texas
The Fort Worth Area Correctional Facility contract has been awarded to the Secure Corrections Resource United, Inc (SCRU, INC, NASDAC: SCRU). The Warden, Henry J. “Boss” Hogg is overseeing the corrections facility, which has been described as an unimproved section of Texas north of Ft Worth. In lieu of walls, barbed wire, and armed guards, the prisoners have been implanted with a Kill Device should the prisoner stray outside the electronically controlled area, the device would send a kill signal through the body.
Boss Hogg came up with the idea, and the board of controllers on behalf of the stockholders approved the idea. The inmates, who were already worthless scum, can be rented out as mercenaries to countries who’s military was decimated by the world wide Ebola epidemic. But as they were, the inmates were not tough enough yet to fight in the third world jungles and deserts.
So the idea of training fights with real weapons came into a board meeting. Approved in a 6 to 2 vote, the weapons were allowed to be smuggled into the DFW Correctional Facility. Anyone making it out of the Sallyport would be shipped to the highest bidder. In the end, there will be no survivors, only profit by SCRU, Inc.
In the Cell Blocks, it is survival of the fittest, law of the jungle world, one inmate always rises to be dominate.
********************************************************
In Cell Block A, the self proclaimed domain of the Heathens, Anaconda had been the Big Snake. He was the leader of the killers, thieves, and assorted convicted baddies in Cell Block A. Then one day he returned to his cell to see a Garter on his pillow. The facility had gone with a mixed population, and the legend of Garter Snake was well known among the prisoners and the authorities. The legend is that when she marks someone for death, she sends them a garter. They either submit to her will or have a mysterious natural death. Anaconda took the garter and walked to where a woman was sitting, eyeing the approaching hulk of a prisoner, her amused expression almost enough to make the large man angry.

Anaconda tossed down the garter and said, “OK, you’re the boss, there is no need for a death in the night to see who if the top Snake. Especially since it would be my death. I will back your play, if I am your Number 2.”

That is how Garter Snake came to rule the Heathens.
************************************************************

In Cell Block B, the Cell Block that the Barbarians call home, Two Step is the young Texan killer that is leading the motley band of cut throats, killers, and corporate and internet scam artist.
He got his moniker one evening at a meeting of his computer buds that were scamming millions off the interent. A man in a business suit from the Marcello family was trying to pressure Ace to turn his profitable venture over to the Marcello family, and even went so far as to threaten the computer geeks. Ace was playing with a drinking straw, and when the Mafia gunman turned his head, Ace put a small dart in the straw and with an almost silent puff of air, sent the dart into the gunman’s neck. The Marcello family torpedo stiffened and toppled over dead.

“That is the effect of the poison of the small, green Bamboo Viper, more neurotoxic than a cobra. It is not aggressive unless you mess with it. The fool should not have threatened us.” The Bamboo Viper is also known as the Two Step, and his partners started calling Ace Two Step from that day forward.
Convicted for Tax Evasion, Two Step quickly rose to dominate the Barbarians. Brains, and a little devious murder, is the route to the top. And he would get his followers, those who he thinks as employees, or cannon fodder, which ever the case may be, and they would get out this temporary incarceration. Boss Hogg is brutal, but not smart.
******************************
Cell Block A
The General: Garter Snake. Also known in the paintball world as Witchy Woman, or FUBAR Witchy. This is her first time as General, BUT, can you believe that in California she tried to blow ME up with a brick of C4? I think she is not as innocent as she pretends to be.
******************************
Cell Block B
The General: Two Step. Known in Texas as Texas Ace, this is also his first time to General. At the last Fledgling game in Texas, Ace took over for his General who had to leave, and did a very credible job for the night game and the Sunday game. This time Ace will General the full game from start to finish.
********************************
NPT: That is right, a Non-Preferential TEAM. Known as the Blue Crew, this is the small group of 5 to 7 players, led by Bass Hogg, who are the Prison Guards. They wear body armor, so they can only be killed by head shots. BUT, because they are the only ones who can traffic items in and out of the prison, you might want to be their friends. Their VERY GOOD friends.
As yet, this role is not filled.

********************************
More characters to be posted soon.

THIS GAME WILL HAVE SEVERAL NEW TWIST.

IN THE NIGHT GAME, BOTH SIDES WILL HAVE TO PROTECT THEIR KILL SWITCH, MISSIONS WILL BE COMING IN AT THE REGUALR 20 MINUTE INTERVALS, BUT IF ONE SIDE CAN CLOSE THE KILL SWITCH ON THE OTHER SIDE, THE NIGHT GAME IS OVER. IF BOTH SIDES CAN PROTECT THEIR BASE, THE NIGHT GAME WILL END AT NORMAL TIME.

SECOND: THE FINAL BATTLE IS NOT A WINNER TAKE ALL. EACH PRISONER THAT ESCAPES IS WORTH POINTS. HMMMM, NOW HOW DO YOU ESCAPE?

Only $50 per person and there is also a special deal for teams at just $225 for a 5 person team (of 5 people that register together)

So now to introduce myself, most of you do not know me. My name is Texas_Ace but my friends just call me TA (really, even non-paintball friends). I have been playing paintball off and on for about 10 years. This will be my first time Generalling a full Game, but I am have always been a guy that likes learning by the seat of my pants. I am the General of Cell Block B and plan to mop the floor with those people in *pffth* Cell block A.

In order of importance, my goals when leading paintballers:

1: To make sure everyone is having fun and playing safe

2: to make sure everyone it playing honorably. I would much rather lose honorably then win dishonorably. If you are not an honorable player, then don’t even bother signing up, I will just report you to the refs and let them do as they please.

3: Is of course to kick some kick some major butt and take home the trophy!

I am looking for an XO for this game, if you would like to be that guy, then send me a PM.

Any other questions just post here and I will do my best to answer them.

And remember, Cell block B are the cool guys that will win.

Hrm. I may have a trip to TX in my near future.
This is my sig. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My sig is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My sig, without me, is useless. Without my sig, I am useless. I must type my sig true. I must spell better than my enemy who is trying to judge me. I must type before he ridicules me. I WILL... My sig and I know that what counts in this forum is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the splatter we make. We know that it is the hits that count. WE WILL HIT... Before the Admins, I swear this creed. My sig and myself are the defenders of my forum. We are the masters of our enemy. WE ARE THE SAVIORS OF MY PROFILE. - Tippmann Owner #pi

Sounds like as good an excuse as any to travel to Texas to see my girl.

not that I need an excuse, mind.
We rode on the winds of the rising storm,
We ran to the sounds of the thunder.
We danced among the lightning bolts,
and tore the world asunder.

I dunno. After the embarrasing way you executed me at 'Pieces of Gate' last year, it might feel nice to shoot you for once

Dude, first you say my qualifications are my pants being down and a dumb look on my face, then you hint at wanting me to be directly under you if JR can't. Are you hitting on me?

Seriously, I'll need to talk it over with the wife before I can commit to a game. Between being layed off, that being her birthday weekend, and that we're comptemplating Ivan's game 2 weeks before that... I'll have to get back with ya.

Pre-Reg Extended until March 1st!

This is from the promotor:

Just for a short time, we are extending pre-reg for Escape from Ft. Worth. We will close Pre-reg at the close of the day this coming Sunday, March 1st.

Right now, an player may register for $50 on the Fledgling Scenarios web site (go to the home page, then click on Registration, and follow the directions), or you can pre-reg at the field.

Right now a team of 5 or more players can pre-register for $45 per player, a 10% savings, web site only.

After the close of business this coming Sunday, pre-registration closes and the price to register goes up to $65.

You will still be able to register online or at the field, it is just that the cost is going up.

So, at a time when most of us are waiting on Tax Returns, and money is tight, we are doing what we can to make playing this scenario as easy as we can.

Thanks,

Jim
