How many shots should I expect to get out of a 68/4500 tank shooting a little below 900 psi output? I've only test-fired the gun so far, but I'm playing an outlaw game on friday. How many shots should I expect out of a full tank? It was going through a lot when I was test firing it, but I was shooting much more than I normally would in a game and I didn't count how many balls I used, not to mention all the times I dryfired.
Thanks in Advance!

First of all, congrats on the new marker... Lucky!

Second, I would assume somewhere between 11-1200.

so you are starting with a 68/3600 , cause you cant use the last 900 , so 68/3K = 680 , 600 left , lets say 50 =730 , sosay a hopper & 3 pods
The really cool thing is you will find yourself using LESS paint , cause you HIT what your aiming at !!!

I'll certainly bow to mm's expertise in the mag world. I am however surprised at the low number.

I get close to 900 shots w/ my classic valve on my 68/45, that's w/ a fairly poor paint to bore match. I had thought the X-Valve had better gas consumption than the classics... maybe I was backwards?

A Classic Valve with a Level 7 can dig deeper into the tank. Mags really are somewhat efficient, they just lose the bottom of the tank and that kills them. With my Mag and a 70/30 (when I had a Level 10 and X-Valve) I could pull a bag on several occasions.

Yeah, I hadn't considered the lvl10 vs. lvl7... good point.

Yeah but personally, after shooting the Lvl7, I would stick with the Lvl10. The difference in efficiency isn't really worth it in my opinion. With my Level 7 I use my Halo to stay chop free... I would much rather run a Level 10 + APP 50 rounder on my Mag. But that's just me... haven't really chopped with the Level 7, but I really only use my Mag at a local indoor place which shoots reballs. Not much to chop there.

At SuperGame 39, with my Level 10'd Classic valve, I got 8 pods and a hopper with my 114/4500. My other tank is an 88/4500, so I can't give good numbers on a 68/4500.

Hey Tac owner here:

on my 68/4500 tank I can reach 1200 shots. Thats a good bench mark for you.

Thanks for all the feedback! I played a game on friday with the gun and was amazed. It used a lot less gas than I expected, and the stock barrel is a a pleaseantly surprising small bore size which fits my paint perfectly. SO much easier to hold corners in speedball with the Tac than my 98.
