Mask fan.... yes or no

Am I better off getting a mid priced mask ($35 - $50) and adding a fan to it, or going with something more high end ($65 and up) and just not worry about the fan.
Also, full head helmets are a new thing to me. I remember getting hit in the head once or twice and it sucked.... no two ways about it. Seems like the full coverage mask would work fairly well, heat being a primary concern. BTW - I've got a shaved head. Welts look kinda funny on my head. Anyone out there using the full coverage mask? Thoughts????

Fans are loud and you have to carry batteries for them...and they really don't work all that well to boot. Get thermals...you'll thank me later

Everyone seems to consider Scott junk, but since they do its a plus side. I got a $50 scott mask for $9 with shipping on ebay. First game with it, it started raining, the "whole" entire team stopped with fogged lenses. Everyone kept asking about my mask after that one.

as for a full head sheild they are a bit hot, i would suggest wearing a dew rag, bandana or some type of cap instead of a full head sheild

I tend to go on the lighter side with a mask and gloves... My gloves are just for added grip because sweaty palms might screw you over in the middle of the game.
