But can you use a battle swab?
hi i love paintball. do you?
Put this in Your sig if there was a fire in your house and your paintball gear would be the first thing you grab.[b][color=#33CC00]

guys im thinking abou tbuying the 18 incher (to replace my 18' interceptor from opsgear) the barrel i use right now , which stated above is extremely loud and hurts my sniper position. now im wondering if these barrels are quieter then most barrels, well are they as quiet as regular stiffis? this is important for me :ninja:

Good review. Pb review has been dry on these for awhile, so I've been hunting around for some feedback.

I've heard that you can not use a swab you need a rubber squeegee

WOW! Thats all i can say, i tested out my barrel (Specops/stiffi 18in with suppressor tip) today to dial in my reddot scope and i was blown away by this thing. I was usin procaps and dialed in my gun at 50yrds..... 4/5 hits on a paper plate at 50yrds is nuts and now i can do it. Not a single break out of the 50rnds it took me to get the scope right, and i cant wait to use it at my scenario this weekend!

We are planning on making the C-series barrels for Cocker, impulse, and 98 threads. They wont be ready for a month or so hang tight and you will soon be able to throw a C-series barrel on everything from a Ego to a Ion. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Are you guys planning on making a sleeve that covers the threads but doesn't go past the muzzle? If you do I'm sure a lot of people would buy them. I know I would.

my tip "suppressor tip" hasnt gotten in the way? I went through about 1100 paintballs at yesterdays scenario and had around 15 or so breaks. But pull the squeege through, or a couple dry fires and im good to go....

1 question though. Somehow i threaded my barrle too far and it scrated it a bit, thank god it didnt strip it, but ive never done that. Why'd it happen?

I wrote this review almost a year ago and I have learned a few things during that time. Here they are...

1) I absolutly stink at replying to forum postings....

2) The barrel is a first rate straight barrel. I have moved on to using a hammer head but still revert back to this when the weather turns foul.

2) I cant count...

3) :ghillie: A few people have asked about how quiet the barrel is. This is a difficult question for me to answer as my experiance has been almost exclusively with the flatline. The flatline has no porting, so all the sound comes out the barrel, and on top of that you suffer the projection of the sound forward toward your target. It has been my experiance that if I miss a shot, 9 times out of 10 the guy I was shooting at turned and now realises that I am there.

The C-Series has pin hole porting on the barrel. While it is quiter then the flatline, I am still not convinced that there is a significant difference in the volume or direction of the sound. Although my experiance is limited and I do carry one of the loudest markers on the field. I can say however that the hammerhead is much quieter (to your target) due to the reverse porting which sends the sound waves back at you instead of forward to your target.

5) A lot of people ask about its ability to be swabbed... I never owned a Carbon Fiber barrel so I cant speak to those, but I use a tippman straight shot that has a rubber squeegie on the end. Mostly becuase it is quicker then taking the barrel off the gun. I have no problems and have suffered no damage to the barrel by using this method. As to if you can use a battle swab... I dont see why not, but I guess it depends on how clean you keep your swab. If you have debris in your swab you could run the risk of scratching the barrel, but a little riffeling never hurt anyone

I still have the problem with the paint accumulating on the tip (and so I dont use the tip). But overall its a good barrel.

I dont regret buying this barrel, and will continue to use it as a backup to my hammerhead.

I ordered a 12in and as soon as i took it out to play the actual barrel seperated from the thread (glue) has anyone else had this issue??

98% of people on this forum will say that Tippmann pwns all. If you are one of the 98% that agrees, put this in your sig...
If your parents do not buy you your gear, put this in your sig...
If there was a fire in your house and the first thing you would grab would be your paintball gear, put this in your sig...
