I have a Glock22 that's fun to shoot. It's also my duty weapon. I intend to get an M4, a shotgun, and a 10/22 for plinking. Maybe a hunting rifle too, but I haven't hunted since I was 23 (I'm 32) so maybe I won't. I used to have a 10/22, a .243 Winchester, a Remington 870, and a Browning Lever Action. They were gifts from my dad. My ex sold them so she could get a dress. This is why she's an ex LOL. Ok, maybe a few more reasons (Psychotic)

I don't own any firearms. Haven't really shot much either. A few times here and there with friends

Question though: What is the difference between trap and skeet shooting?

My dad has a Remmington 870 Wingmaster, Walnut Stock. It's over 50 years old and in excellent condition. Never shot, and he doesn't hunt or anything anymore. He did when he first bought it (used). So it's been in his possession for about 40 years. I'll post a picture of it sometime if I can get around to it.

Trap and Skeet shooting have different competition rules. It's all shooting clays though.

I had pictures somewhere on my computer...
Anyway I have a Rem. 1187, a Rem. 870, an old beat up whichestor slug gun thats kinda dicolored and had to have its stock glued. It's was passed down to me with more than a couple of seasons under its belt. I also have a mosberg 702 .22 I use target shooting.
I'm thinking about getting a Springfield 1911 sometime soon.

Basically, trap shoots clays forwards, and skeet shoots them sideways. But there are many more technicalities.

I want to get a Savage MK-II-F (.22 bolt action), that is if my mom will let me. SpudCrushr, can you tell me about your rifle? Is it really that accurate to have a 24x scope? I knew savages were accurate but I didn't know they were that good. How far can it shoot?

If your mom is anything like mine the answer is no. Did you mom say maybe? If she says that it's a no.
