Hey everyone. So I would like to make a cheap gear bag for all of my stuff.

I am thinking of using an old suitcase and putting some inserts in the suitcase. Then I am thinking of putting some kind of padding on the sides of the inserts.
What kind of material do you recommend? I was originally thinking plywood but then I realized it would be to heavy. Maybe some kind of plastic?
What would be a good material for the padding that is cheap and where could I get it?
Also, what would be a good way to store masks in the suitcase?

This is what I am aiming for (probably not as high quality though...lol)

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanx

That is definitely a possibility but I am looking more for a big bag that can hold my marker, hopper, tank, mask, pods, paint, etc.

UTG field bag. i have one in marpat, they are available in alot of different colors. been using it for a year not one tear, hasnt let me down. its also semi water proof. anyways i usually carry (in the main compartment) 12 filled pods upright in a box, my vest loaded with 4 pods and a 68ci tank, 2 tippmann A5's with stocks and 12" or shorter barrels, tac 8 in holster, knee pads, mask, 2 extra 20oz tanks....... and still room to spare. then on the front and back pockets i have a tool case, grenades, slings, and so forth. it also has hidden straps so you can carry it as a back pack, and i also use the same compartment the backpack straps hide into to carry extra barrels. best $40 bucks i ever spend. i basically walk into the woods with this bag carrying all my gear and two free hands.
