I use a Red Laser personally. It allows me to have full visor vision with no tunnel vision, smaller and more durable, not a lot of need for high magnification scopes.

So if you look at your buddy and he has a little red dot on his chest or mask visor, I suggest you duck. Your next.

Note, never point the laser in someone's eyes. It can cause serious damage including blindness. So aim for the chest or somewhere that the eye shield doesnt cover.

I said other, because I use both a red dot, and a 2.5 power shotgun scope, depending on how I feel. I know everyone says scopes are useless, but I actually enjoy using it.

I use them for the big scenario games where there is more open fields. The smaller zoom scopes, anything 3x and below, work great with paintball.

Red dot. It is simple, it works ,and you don't have to line it up for quick shots like iron sights. Also you don't need Magnification for paintball.
THE END IS COMING!!!! AND IT WILL BE UNTIL IT GETS HERE!!!!!!
CAUTION IN THE INTEREST OF SAFETY IT IS ADVISABLE TO KEEP DUNCEB4LL AWAY FROM FIRE AND FLAMES.

One definition left off is holo sight VS regular red dot. Anyone use a holo sight?

I either use iron sight or I aim down the side of my marker.

i use a red dot halo sight... i used to use a scope, and it worked alright.. but it cut off my sight to the rest of the feild to much, and the magnafication was helpin any unless i was lookin down feild. my red dot allows me to see all around me while keepin my eyes on the sights.. it was alot quicker to pull up a shot with, i can do snap shots with it and not a scope. so in my opinion red dot halo sights are the best. i hope my advice helps, and good luck

i just aim down the side of my gun but am considering geting a cheap air soft sight, sighting in my gun with it then marking where the dot is with a sharpie and turning it off so i dont have worry about batteries

red dot with stay-tech so I don't have to line it up with any cross hairs [like on the daisy and crossman red dots] or anything just bring to aim and put the little red dot that shows up magically on the target. and it was only $30!

I use the bead sight on my Houndstooth. It's simple, and adds a slight extra level of precision you can't always get just by instinct. At the same time it isn't overkill. In my opinion, if you need a major optic to aim, you are most likely too far away or way over-analyzing the capabilities of a paintball.

I prefer the holo red-dot sight. It gives me a large view of the field, very easy to pull off snap shots with, and (my personal favorite) is that as long as i have both eyes open I can still aim when my AG's (action ghillie) rifle rag gets in the way blocking the sight. That tends to happen a lot when I'm crawling through the weeds and brush. I've thought of switching to the tube sight just so I could wrap the "leaf" around the sight but as of yet I haven't found a better reason to buy one. Hey, if it ain't broke then don't fix it, right? :ghillie:

If anything I'd probably drop cash on a decent holo green-dot sight.

I use a 3-times zoom sight with a large ocular lens, this really helps for me to follow the rounds into the target. and with its unbelievably wide view it doesn't mess with my field of vision.
