I am trying to decide on a vest and am undecided about whether to get one with the pods on the front or back. It seems to me they would be easier to get to on the front, but you dont see that to often. Any thoughts?

Theyre easy to get to in the back, i think its much easier to use my pods in the back instead of the front, b/c most are designed to assist in doing this. Also, when crouching, pods could get in your way, and could be a pain if in the front. Hope this helps :o

EDIT: oh, and forgot to say, Welcome to the forums, and enjoy!

Yeah I like my pods in the back. I can reach all of them fine and they stay out of the way. If you like to crawl the pods might get in the way if their in the front.

back definately,

though I do preffer mine in the horizontal configuration instead of the vertical one. It is my prefference to be able to reach all my pods with my left hand. While my marker stays in my right hand.

I have pods mounted vertically on the back, and a two pod holder mounted horizontally in the front. I'm a big guy and don't want to have to reach around to grab pods.

the modular vest i have, with the army surplus, holds all my pods vertically, i have cap for 4 in front, like a chest rig, and cap for a total of 18 pods, using the SAW gunners pouches on my rig
