A few of my worst dreams/ sleep experiences have been recent... for example

I slept with the shades open and since it was already bright in my room I was blind in my dream, everything was fuzzy white and I could just see outlines.

Recently my eyes opened and I was concious in the sense that I could see my room and everything but I couldn't move or yell. I finally figured out that I could move my right leg and managed to roll over using that. When I rolled over I was able to move the rest of my body and talk.

One really cold night in winter I was sleeping with a comforter and two blankets, and in my dream I tried to punch someone who broke into our house. I couldn't move my arms :D that was pretty scary. I woke up sweating and fighting my comforter.

I have A LOT of dreams about people breaking into our house, and I'm really paranoid about it... its annoying.

thats because your body paralyzes itself when you are sleeping...ive actually had that happen a few times, kinda scary if you dont know whats going on..

I induce sleep paralisis before I go to sleep like every night. It's such a cool feeling.

this thread has got so much win !!! i LOL'ed hard reading some of these old posts and lookin back at some of the old members that posted ...

i gotta say for me that since i got my bipap machine, i do not dream at all anymore... i used to have tons of dreams every night that i would act out sometimes in my sleep, yell and talk and even sing sometimes, and they were usually violent dreams, sometimes flashbacks to a past life, but the best ones were the lucid dreams where i had some semblence of control, it seemed i could never control how i got into the dream or where it started, but once there i could direct the activity to happen one way or the other ... ya, wierd i know ... but since i got my sleep machine .... no more dreams

I like the ones in which I have to run. Not run as in track, but as in being chased. By someone, by many people, by the law..dosent matter. its the feeling of being free and to live on the edge. Where the next decision means everything. The art of deception is required of you to be a master of it. Hiding in plain sight should be second nature.

Dose this make a weird person?? lol

i am not so sure about wierd, but when i was having dreams, my favs were the ones where i could fly, and i seemed to have them on a semi regular basis. they always started out with my being elated and starting to float .. i know.. sounds like mary poppins, but that is how they always started.. then they would escalate to my learning how to control it and focus it and then by the end of the dream i was zooming around like neo on the matrix... but i would wake up each time from those dreams feeling more refreshed than i have ever felt before...they were awesome dreams ... i remember some of those times even my dog was flying around with me .. seemed perfectly normal in the dream ..lol

I think like 99% of people have flying dreams...and they're pretty much all relatively the same...kinda odd

So...every night, for years, I have essentially the same type of dream. My family is being hunted down, by some villan, changes dream to dream, and as hard as I try to save them...most of them end up getting slaughtered (sometimes it's my dad that kills them, he blew himself up in the one a few nights ago) and if I manage to save some of them...it's just barely, and it's never all of them. Say I wake up in the middle of the night, I fall back asleep, enter a different dream, and repeat, some nights I watch my family die like 4-5 times each. Generally I wake up more tired than I went to bed, and hae pretty much given up on having anything but these awful gory dreams all the time.

I've gotten pretty good at the lucid dreaming (I believe that's the term). As in, I'm aware it's a dream and can somewhat control it. Sometimes more easily than others, but I rarely have nightmares anymore. If something starts getting bad/scary, I suddenly get some sweet ass super powers or guns or something.

And there are always hot girls.

My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.

I used to be able to do lucid dreaming when I was younger...not so much anymore...bright side, I ordered Zzquill, which literally knocks me out for 10 hours withotu remembering a single dream when I wake up...so that will be nice to have.
