Hello I picked up some paintball gear from a gradge sale today and here is what I got. I got two markers, one is for my brother because I am getting him into paintball tomorrow . well I got a brass eagle "tiger shark", a velocity triad with a vs3 barrel on it, and four co2 tanks and lots of pods. I got it all for 20 bucks. I thought is was a great deal.
The only thing is, there is a small leak near the back of the tiger sharks and I need help finding out what is leaking and where the leak is and how to fix it. If anyone can help me its well appricated. Also what year would the shark be? The bore size is frickin huge...

First off, have you tried to cock the marker to see if it stops the leak?

Yes I did I shot 30 rounds through it and it still was leaking. I'm not sure if I want to take it apart yet because I dont have a diagram to help me through it. The leak is not major, you can hardly notice it, I just think it would be best to get it back into good shape again.

Just take it apart slowly, and really pay attention to how everything goes together. If you do this, and layout the screws the way you took them out, you shouldn't have any troubles putting it back together. Just take your time and pay attention......

...OH LOOK...SOMETHING SHINY!!!!

^^^^Don't do that. :dodgy:

Eh, it might not be fixable on that brass eagle. I don't know if there are parts diagrams on brass eagles nowadays. Just see if you can take it apart yourself, if you feel confident. I just took apart a Pro/Carbine for the first time with out a manual.

But, yeah, nice deal, especially on those CO2 tanks, you could use them, you know,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,lol. I guess I got carried away with the commas. :dodgy:

Yeah, I think I might be able to find a manual online somewhere but I guess this marker is kinda old because the guy I bought it from told me he used it about 9+ or so years ago, that could make it harder to find one....

Normallly i would refer you to www.beog.com, but it is down for some reason, its the Brass Eagle Owner's Group. Then i would say go to www.vintagerex.com, as it is the best source for info on old school markers (combined with MCB of course), but even VR has nothing on the tiger shark. Sorry. :dodgy:

Ok thanks guys, I took it apart carefully cleaned it oiled it ect. Test fired it this morning and the leak has gone away for good. I will use it today in a game along with my phantom to see how They do in a game.

And thanks for the links legato, I have never been to www.vintagerex.com. It seems to be a pretty neat site...

I just got back from paintballing. I am glad to see that the phantom lives up to its name . But what really surprised me was the triad, My brother was using it with my vs3 barrel on it let me tell you, that thing is perfict for him, accurate, light, not to fast, ect. He was great for his first time playing, but whats more important is that he had a good time and now I have a paintball buddy. The tiger shark worked decent, it wasn't very consistent shot after shot but when you took time to set out a good shot it was pretty accurate and reliable.

An easy way to bring up the tigershark's consistancy is to just go through it all, and replace the spring's and the o-rings. It'll help a lot, I did that with an old stringray, and it improved a lot.
