Opsgear does a great job making markers look dangerous, but this is something I hadn't seen before -- Muzzle Flash!! At one point (about 0:38) in the video you'll see the marker shooting almost head-on, and there's a very large flashlight rig hooked on the foreward 90* rails. From what I can see, it's hooked into the bolt/trigger/whatever to flash with the shot -- making this a seriously intense addition. Anyway it looks sweet, so I figured, Paintball Media!! enjoy.

First off I'd like to congratulate you on an AWESOME Demolition Man reference!

Second: That was a gnarly mod... or bunch of mods. But too much for me...

Third: I did enjoy.

Opsgear is a brutally awesome site, I shop there all the time and buy stuff I don't need.... it's great. And I *almost* bought an A-5 from them as well -- got cold feet at the last second.

But yeah, I'm talking about the first clip with the Law Enforcement training focus. I've been poring over their upgrades and they don't sell that muzzle-flash simulator anywhere.

I remember back in the day, I use to have an autococker, i added a push button behind the trigger and had it connected to my Revy so when i pulled the trigger the hopper would rotate. It was only a few bucks for parts at radioshack.

I'm not sure that's a paintball mod...

There are tactical flashlights (like that one that is attached to his marker) that have a strobe feature. The main idea is that a strobing high intensity light (such as Surefire, Scorpion, and the like) is much more disorienting than a steady beam of light when. Your eyes can adjust to a steady beam, but they don't get a chance to adjust to a strobe.

I remember that actually. You could connect your Revvy to your Autococker or Mag.

I luv it when player do these kinda thngs!

"Here's your sign"

You might as well wear a flashing neon sign that says shoot me on it!

We have a local field that is indoor. They call themselves an urban tacticle field. Lots of little rooms, doorways and kill holes. One of the owners prides himself in tactics and being a master at urban play...he has a Gladius flashlight attached to his trigger.
The alternating flash/strobe of the Gladius is suppost to confuse the target.

All it did to me was highlight his exact location in the corner. Kinda like radar...I was able to target him far easier with that lovely flashing light!

While the muzzel flash is niffty, it just makes you a target.

Playing in an underground bunker I was at the back following a team room clearing and using my light to search for bonus items - they go in, bang bang, they come out, I go in, light on, check the corners, light off, out.

All went fine until I lit up in a series of rooms one of an open area gave a nice view of myself to the gunners 5 doors down - and the claering crew stepped in the next door!

Lights & lasers are fine but give way your position.

Well, see, I was in charge of a whole bunch of training events at the Air Force Academy because I was in charge of the woodsie paintballers, and we talked some sense into a few people about the effectiveness of a paintball training event.

Yeah.

The muzzle-flash would have been a really nice realism touch. I'd never use it in competitive play, except maybe a night game.
