Newer to Speedball/Dagger, and I need help.

So I really need to find a way give them the idea that I am a reliable person on the speedball court or I'm cut.
I'm not going to be facing the Dynasty or anything this weekend, however what I need to do is present the correct "image". So I've been trying my best to convert my abilities to the speedball court. I bought suitable gear (spyder pilot, evo II, and a N2 tank, I orginally had a phantom, they are unfortunately pump haters) and I've been scouring the Tip Clips on Tygers website for tips on speedball. I've even looked at the Wikipedia articles . However I feel that I'm not entirely up to snuff. Any tips for a new convert? Drills I could do, tactics (single person, 3 man and 5 man especially), anything would be excellant.
BTW if any of you guys know a decent speedball forum that gives tips like they do here, I would be greatly in your debt.

This is the forum speedball thread, so you can ask a lot of questions there too.
You really need to work on gun fighting skills ie. snapshooting, switching hands, accuracy, etc. That's generally what can make a good player. Last tourney i was at a player held off 5 players for the whole game because he could gun fight.
There's also a lot of other things to know. I haven't even brush the surface.

A big thing I see people getting shot over is not commiting to your move. If your gonna move to a new bunker, don't slow down in the middle of the move and be like "oh crap maybe I shouldn't have done that'. Because chances are you'll make it unless someone was laning you.

Silentmarksmans' comment about commiting to your move is right on the mark - there is no time or room to pull back & no way to hide, so once you move you need to move fast & furious. Dont change your mind in mid run, as even the slightest hesitation will get you shot.
