At D day the LAPCO Guys had a Tripod for their Hammer. It was a nice light weight quick to set up Tripod.

They got it from a real gun but said that if there was enough interest thew would consider makeing them for paintball use.

I want to see if the interest is there. so Vote

I seen that one as well. its from the gatling ruger 10/22 kit that cabelas sells among other places. Its aluminum and would set the DT about 1 1/2' to 2' above the ground. The legs fold in and it does look pretty sharp. How practical it is I don't know since you can carry a DT with a chest harness and without protection of some sort a stationary DT is just a target.

I know a few guys on the old A5OG just used camera tripods. They use the same screw mount, 1/4" / 20, that the A5 front grip uses. So it attached with ease. And they are cheap.

i really am looking for something like this, but it has to be very out of the way (light, compact, sturdy). i hvae the original fitting on my Dt waiting for a mount, so pm me once this gets serious.

ps- is there any way to make it less than 100 bucks? as for size are we talking a stand up height (like chest high from the ground up?)or like 12" to plop it on a table and shoot kinda thing?

keep me posted.

i would use it more for the staging area and for reloading more than anything else, as i suspend it from my chest with cables. but having something that would take the weight off on the field for duties like a trail stakeout or base defense, or waiting for a rendevous on a trail would be nice.

I think the price all has to do with volume. If there is not enough interest then they will not make it at all. with only 6-7 posts I doubt we are looking at a sub $100 cost.

Yeah there aren't enough hammers yet. And with the cost of the equipment and paint I doubt we will see the numbers well anytime soon. Although I have to admit at D-Day every time a DT fired up everyone in the vicinity ducked a little lower. Figures that morning mine would decide to poop out and need a new valve.

The few and the proud.
