I don't know a whole lot about the Flatline reg other than its expensive. You also don't need one to get the RT effect, you can get any adjustable reg tank and just up the output pressure. Nitro Duck seems to have the best/most affordable adjustable reg tanks out there.

Not really. All adj. regs are not created the same. Flatline will give you a consistent 1000 psi which is ideal for your mag. Many adj. reg companies claim 1000 psi but barely push 900. Mags love pressure, the more the better.

Everything Airgun Designs does is top quality. I'll say that much. The Flatline regulator is a true adjustable regulator. Now, admittedly, it's not really necessary if you get a GOOD tank, but built-in regulators vary a lot. My MacDev appears to output at 950 or so, but Nitro Ducks reportedly have trouble getting past 800. You can't go wrong by getting a Flatline regulator, but it may not be necessary.
