The technology and technique, it's one of those things that you can spend a ton of time researching or practicing and you'll never know everything about it. Plus it tends to hold my interest better than most other things.
The "Dirty Acronym?" factor when you tell certain people you play paintball. Sometimes they think you're a loony.
It's one of the only sports I'm actually good at.
It's not mainstream and even has it's own little sub cultures.
It's addictive yet retains it's enjoyment.
The thrill of it all, I just don't have as much fun playing something like hockey.
The diversity of the people who play, you have everybody from old men to ten year old children.
There's always a newb to help and educate.
You can do things you'd never be able to do anywhere else aside from video games.
Every day of play is a social event as much as a sporting/recreation event.
Most of all, I just love it.

this just about sums up why i play, with incredible accuracy.
also my friends and i could talk about paintball experiences and stuff like that for hours. paintball has become a part of me that i just couldnt get rid of if i tried.
(Quote-weltmaker2000) I don't call my guns pumps. I refer to them as euthanizers of the stupid.

Listening to all the stories and recaps guys are giving about the amazing shot they took, or rushing the enemy lines, or about getting hit so many times... I love listening to the new people gush over the game they just played. I think it helps me recapture the love I first felt for the game.
I take a large group consisting of church members out every other month or so. For most of them its their first time playing. Its just awesome to see people enjoying the game so much, I think it keeps me enthused enough to put up with the bonehead wipers I play with at other times.
for me it's: the rush, the kill, and the deal (great deals that people sell there stuff for, I find so much joy in buying awesome deals)
and in the same way seeing the joy of guys when they kill me, or when they play for the first time, or when I sell them an awesome deal just keeps me going. I love this sport....
So what's your reason(s)?

Paintball is what I make my ideas and projects revolve around. If I did not have paintball, I'd probably do destructive testing, Off-roading, custom karts, and other extreme things. Paintball, as long as I build my toys to be safe, I can use them in paintball against a target who is using strategy and other toys against me, makes it so much more fun.

One thing that I wish paintballers could get past the whole speedball woodsball divide that separates us. I love paintball and always will. Paintball will always be a part of my life whether I am playing or fixing markers I will always be a part of the game.
If you play your own game of paintball using Spec ops as guidelines and not as "law of position", put this in your sig.
