Name: Rampage Board for Egrip
Company: Advanced Paintball Electronics
Type: Accessory
Pros: multiple firing modes, push button, LED, weather resistant, programmable, high rate of fire, ease of installation
Cons: Stock Egrip needed before Rampage can be installed. Need Quick Exhaust Valve – QEV (not sold by APE) to achieve higher rates of fire

Review: If you want your Tippmann A-5 to run with the big dogs on the paintball field you must buy an Egrip Rampage board from Advanced Paintball Electronics (APE). The Rampage which replaces the standard Egrip will turn you mechanical A-5 into a true supermarker.

With the $79 model that includes the solenoid installation was a breeze. Remove the three screws on the grip. Pull out the old board, drop in the new board hook up the battery, use the push button to select your mode and away you go. (Please ensure you completely read and understand the instructions before installation).

The instructions are on one sheet of paper, that is how easy the board is to install program and operate. Once installed you do not need any special tools to make adjustments thanks to the push button operation. You can pick up a stick on the woodsball field and switch modes from Rampage to full auto and back again. The Rampage is very flexible and has a mode to suite any player with a total of 13 firing modes:

Standard Code has 7 firing Modes
Semi Automatic
Full Automatic
3 Round Burst

Tourney Code has 5 firing Modes
Semi Automatic

Plus user programmable modes
Rates of fire from 15 to 25BPS!
Adjustable Dwell and Debounce
Programmable Ramping and Turbo mode

With the installation of a Quick Exhaust Valve (QEV) you can increase the rate of fire for your Tippmann A-5 that is designed to shoot only 15bps up to a whopping 25bps. Out of the box the Rampage mode shoots 15bps with an ultra smooth ramping that kicks in when you pull 5bps (that is lower ramping rate then the Ion).

Total Score: 10 out of 10 - This thing is amazing.

Higher rates of fire, extended battery life, increased weather resistance and ease of use makes the APE Rampage board best single high performance upgrade you can buy for a Tippmann A-5!!

Did you mod the cyclone hopper too. That is capped at 17bps, unless you took it off the gun and modded a normal feed neck onto the gun.

the qev reroutes the gas so the cyclone can cycle faster (25 bps)
