I'm looking at a vest with a holster built in, and was just wondering if anyone has come across a very specific problem with them as compared to leg holsters.

I would imagine it makes going prone a bit harder, or more painful. Do you have a picture of the vest?

Ya i imagine that could be a little uncomfortable, but a huge leg rig would be annoying while running too, i imagine. And i don't have a picture, but i was looking at a Rap4 t68 + vest package. I seen another one with more pods on ebay, but i can't find a picture i can post here.

I wouldn't recommend Rap4. Their items have a habit of not being the greatest quality. What's your price limit, I'm sure people on the forum can give you suggestions if you're looking for a vest holster.

This is in the wrong section too, by the way.

punted to soft goods discussion.....

I too would avoid anything with a cRap 4 label. They are very inferior products usually. Yes you will find the random one out of fifty who says their products work great, the other forty nine though know the truth.

FrozenCannuck,

The only problem I'm aware of is if you're going prone. With a leg holster or waist holster, it's easy to draw your pistol with a free hand. With a vest holster, you may have to reach under your vest, using space you may not have.

Otherwise, they're pretty much just as good, in my opinion.

Hey thanks for the help, but sense my gun was stolen, there won't be a pistol, vest or holster to speak of for a while....
