Hey guys, stoner here. Has anyone ever played with a fresh tattoo? I just had one done today, it's a collar-piece a firebird around my neck and shoulders (Like on the second gen- Trans Am - "The bandit") it looks hot but I dont want it to get ruined. I am going to Skirmish' biowars on the 1st of june. Think it'll be ok to play with? I must mention I wear a vest that will probably rub on it a bit. Maybe enough A+D ointment will do the trick.

I wouldn't risk it dude, espicially with the continual hot gun problem at that field

I played but with people I know. I'm reffing this weekend and I got a tattoo today on my traps. I have another tattoo on my arm i played with, but I never got hit there and like I said, it was with people I know. Welps shouldnt damage it much but bleeders will pull out the ink. I'd wear a bandana around your neck or something to help.

It wouldnt be bad. At worst it would have a broken line or a spot would be faded, which they do over time anyway. Any tattoo worth their weight will give you a free touch up anyway so you have one get-out-jail-free card to use.

Which is worse..a Vest rubbing against a Freshly Done Tat or a Freshly Done Tat getting hit by a Paintball?

Personally, I would stay home and wait the till skin heals.

Yea, thats why I waited for football to end so I could get mine. I have one on my shoulder/upper arm and another on my traps like I said. Shoulder pads would tear em up when they are healing.

Do you really want to take the chacne and ruin it? Think of how much it cost to get the tat done.
I wouldn't do it.

I probably would have waited to get a tat when I knew I could take 6-8 weeks off from paintball.

dont risk it.

You should be ok. Ive played with many fresh tattoos & havnt had any problems, even when hit. Just dont directly expose the area, & wear a clean soft t-shirt under your gear to prevent abrasion. If you are still really concerned, you can wrap an Ace bandage around the fresh area for additional protection. Sunlight & saltwater are worse for a new tattoo than a paintball hit. Still hurts like a son of a gun, but wont damage the ink.
