Okay the packageing as I open is well done.
As I pull the thing out looks really sweet some reseach was done on making it!
In the Milsim catagory I will have to give this a 10-10!

Okay a few places missing paint in a few area no big deal.
I pick up the sling cheap plastic break with in few seconds of me messing around with it.
That lose major points in my book.
Made with foam could have been better made loses points!
Mic 5/10

Performance Try out the best ammo the Nerf Pocket Rocket
Load the Law up shoots about 100-150 feet with good accreate firing!
Performance 10-10
Over all I will have to give the M72 Limited Edition a 7/10
It would have gotten a hiring rate if it wasnt for a few minor details!
Over all I would suggest this law for enyone who wants a killer law with killer looks on a limited Budget!
I think its a good deal and would suggest this to enyone!

I think the missing paint and what I can only assume was the barrel cap breaking were due to RPS using a real LAW. I thought they took use M72 launchers and converted them for paintball. Since the M72 has several decals it may be difficult to repaint without loosing the original decals. Also, the M72 is meant to be disposable so some parts aren't really made to last. I have an original M72. My rear cover on mine is almost completely broken after being bent out of shape several times and the front cap is long gone. The launcher tube is made of a composite material that is surprisingly durable but could easily be destroyed. In fact, soldiers were supposed to crush or burn the spent launcher tube before discarding it in the field. As for the milsim look...no research required since it's the real deal. FYI: I'd be careful about where you display that thing...could get someone beating down your door...

FYI: I'm suprised RPS is able to get thier hands on enough tubes to keep selling these. I had a hard time finding a used tube for under $300. A friend of mine said they used to have piles of spent tubes for sale in a surplus store outside his base for like $2 each...like 20 years ago. I think the launcher is a steal for $350.

i bought one years ago

ball valves are really sketchy for a LAW

the best thing about the 10 dollar shell is that it was voted a "worst toy" in 2000

This “Military Bazooka”, designed with the look and feel of heavy weaponry, is marketed with “4 simulated bazooka sounds” for children as young as 3 years old. The nozzle of the bazooka has a small stick on label which states: “Warning! Do not use close to the ear! Misuse may cause damage to hearing”. The warning is not provided anywhere else on the toy or packaging. In view of the very real risk of the toy causing hearing impairment, it should not be distributed, promoted or sold as a plaything for children of any age.

I am not thrilled with the quality of the one I have. It's a rush job, at least that's what it looks like. That and it took almost 6 months for me to get it in.

That thing is a beast! I can't imagine lugging something like that around. Besides, home-made ball valve launchers are outlawed at most feilds these days.

I had no idea the LE launcher from RPS was a toy! Thanks for the info. I might have to use one of these to make my own non-ball valve launcher. I never liked these types of launchers myself.

I was referring to the M72A2 Paintball Launcher offered by RPS...this uses a spent M72 tube.

Over all I dont think its a bad deal for people who are bad at making stuff.
But dont want to spend a bundle on a paintball bazooka!
You get what you pay for it works fine and looks nice but I still think it would be nicer if we took car of a few details!

I was going to say - I know mine is a plastic toy shell. I know they are now selling "real" shells now.

I'm still tinkering with mine (Christmas gift from the wife).

The rocket that came with mine was horrible. The Nerf Pocket Vortexes are the way to go. So far I know I can hit my shed at 107' away from my house.

I'm curious when I read about other launchers that claim 100 yards or 1000 feet.

I agree that the straps are horrible and the stickers are hard to place (I wound up using glue to make them stick)

Also after I opened it I saw this "packing carboard tube" which I threw out... guess what you use for sabot shots? Now I have to try and make my own. :D Oh well.

If we get some good weather (here in NJ) I'll do some more testing and report back.

Our team has one of the plastic versions of the RPG M72.

It fell into our hands after very little use from the original owner.

The anchor points for the strap broke with in minutes just like metioned above.

The rear section the hides the quicker changer, air chamber and ball valve broke loose on the first day and the cosmetic shell around the barrel started to come loose.

I took the time to drill a small hole in the shell under the front flip up sight and in the battery compartment for the "Realistic sounds".
I then used quicky foam for sealing air leaks in houses to fill the empty interior space between the shell and the barrel.
Also used the foam to fill the voids around the air chamber and ball valve.

The foam worked wonders. Giving the the whole thing a much sturdier feel when used and totally fixing the rear section of broken plastic.

The M72 shoots about half the distance of the JCS MKX Alias launcher...roughly about 50 to 60 yards. More range can be had, but at the sacrafice for true accuracy.
The FPS is also about half of the MKX ours running about 100 FPS. Close range shots to a player does not hurt...but the pure shock of the player who poped up over the top of his bunker to shoot at the wrong time and taking a Nerf mini Vortex to the mask was a beautiful thing to see!
That being said....try not to aim for the players! He just happened to take one for the team during our testing and to relief he was not hurt in the hit. After that instance I personally took a direct hit at 20 feet to make sure the same result would not hurt another player.
It stung like a paintball hit but was all good.
I still think it has the power to dislodge a mask if hit just right so be carefull when you fire a launcher during a game.

If used right you can get two shots per 12 gram, but the shooter has to be very good with the ball valve. I consistantly get two shots and know it can be done...new users will get one shot per 12gr.

A fun toy for scenario players. Can be built for 1/4 of the RPG cost but whos keeping track...right?

Will be drilling holes in mine soon with the foam spray.......

But figured I'd share that I finally found some rings to replace the plastic "hinges".

After much searching and trial and error I finally found the following:

HILLMAN
Slip Sleeve Key Rings
#701280
9300-30

With a little work (used screw driver to open the holes a little wider on where the anchors go) they replace the plastice hings quite well.

Don't know what the numbers mean - I'm just copying them off the package and if I remember correctly the pair cost less than a buck!

Happy Hunting................
