Okay so I was browsing the Wal-Mart just to see if they had camo wrap, and much to my dismay, they did not. I did however find a rather handy mesh/netting-based head cover for hunting; which I cut and applied to my mask. All I had to do was tuck it under the goggle frame (ensuring it did not pose a safety threat) and voila! -A lower mask camo/minor neck protector that doesn't look half bad really for a 5 minute job. Let me know your thoughts.

I may eventually tack it to the mask via glue, sewing, whathaveyou. Update: connected the back/drew it in a bit by sewing it into the tag of the mask.

Spitfire, you must have some of the spirit of old-time paintball in you...we used to do that same mod to our masks back when the only mask was the NSG Woodstalk...circa 1988...though we made use of the whole mesh hood on the sides and along the elastic headband as well. It was great for breaking up the human silhouette.

Nice mod. My favorite part is how easy & cheap it was. Grats!

@ methusaleh: geez, NSG Woodstalk mask? You must be as old as, well, Methuselah.

You bought the brand, not my allegiance.

Nice mod.

I agree, simple is best.

Back in the day I used to drape camo on my mask like yourself, and another nice touch to tie everything together was a ponch-style camo.

I went down to my local surplus shop and bought a wicked " copperhead camo ".

I got it really cheap and cut into square sections.

Then I cut a hole in the middle and would drape it over me like a mexican poncho.

It was better than ghillie becuase I could squat and lay in wait and look like a bush.

It was great becuase once you get into that squat position you can tuck your gun, hands and whatever else up under it.

And should you need to make a swift exit, you just pop up and go !

It was far cheaper than a ghilie suit and it also allowed for a ton of ball bounces!!!!

Though I did not know it would have a bounce factor as it was a bonus.

It would make folks so mad when it bounced off and so I eventually refrained from using it
We are shadows; everywhere yet nowhere to be seen.
As we strike with the force of nature's maelstrom, the wrath we have wrought upon the face of our enemies is witnessed as we fade away into the veil of shadow once more.
