could you use an auger style thing ran by a small electronic motor and it would be like a motor driven q-loader

I have come up with many ideas and if you want plans pm me WAY too many ideas

I just wish I had money I would make it in a heart beat you could use a pvc pipe and make it as long or short as you want. And if you have a good electronic motor you could make it very fast and you could run wires to a double a battery changer and put that on the gun or on the bottom of the gun.

Is it planned for the auger to be soft to avoid smashing the paintballs?

The issue I run into is the "timing" of it all. A true auger has no slip in the event that the exit end is full. It would need to have a tension monitor to prevent smashing paint or a clutch that will slip before the paint fails. Another possibility is a board that will read each shot fired and only loads one paintball per cycle. ATS has a similar, all mechanical, mag feed that uses a conveyor. It is timed to feed exactly one ball per cycle into the breach. This is actuated by the physical motion of marker operating that is linked to the magazine feed system. A similar system could work with an auger but I imagine there would be a patent infringement looming around that corner. Adding electronics adds batteries, price, and weight. Pneumatics just use more gas.

The JRNY loader has a 'raceway' that allows 5-7 paintballs load up in the neck (much like halo's, and Reloaders) it is run by eyes meaning, if it senses a gap the loader runs until a gap ceases to exist. It also is spring loaded so that when loaded to the brim the auger is all the way back, but as the loader is emptied the spring pushes balls foreward along with its rotation allowing it to be considered a true force fed loader

I believe gameystar is looking for a non electro feed system as an alternative to the qloader. I am a milsim guy and, while the qloader is a wondeful design and concept, it looks just as out of place as a hopper. I also hate top loading as I am into realism of weapon appearance. This is why I made my ammo box. The auger system is innovative but in the standard hopper realm it offers nothing other than a different brand name. The Spec Ops design looks to be in attempt to more integrate the loading system into the marker as opposed to having a hopper sticking out somewhere. This interests me much more than an auger fed halo. Until I see a true box or c-mag style available on the market I'll continue cutting perfectly good reloaders and making my own boxes.

seriously O wel i wil post some other ideas so this topic isn't wasted I just hope that opackrat will pm me back (I typed up some of my plans and sent them to him)

some more

a cyclone for every hopper

mill an aluminum block and use it as a feed neck and screw it into a barrel with a milled and tapped hole on the outside of the barrel to work the pnumatics however you would need to seal it well

under barrel spring feed and foregrip

using scope mounts you mount a spring feed and put a pump shotgun foregrip (if you have one) and secure it in place with a screw or several screws and viola a shotgun

the self contained air fireing shell pm for details
