Hi everyone,

Im new to the forum, and paintball.

I used to play airsoft but not alot of people were interested in my area. Most people liked paintball more. Anyways, I always liked the way the airsoft gear was realistic so I thought mabye that gear could be used for paintball. So, does anyone think that pods of any size would be able to fit into any of the pockets in the links below.

im pretty sure 100 round pods will fit in those i dont know about any other size. i would suggest a special ops vest they look pretty realistic but are designed specifically for paintball. special ops vests have their pods on your back. your not going to want to crawl on the ground with pods under you.

EDIT: and welcome to the forum.

most airsoft mag pouches take 100 round pods, or a lot of 10 round tubes. id think about investing in a paintball vest ( no pun intended) if you really want a vest. Special Ops makes great vests, as do many other companies. look around, im sure you can find what you need. what kind of marker are you using?

If you don't already own a vest purchase either a spec ops vest or a military MOLLE vest.

The Spec ops vest is designed by you for you, or prepackaged with the sport in mind.

The MOLLE vest you can create for yourself, if a little more limited in pod capacity. I use a MOLLE vest, two dual m-16 mag pouch (2- 100 pod) an open end dual m-16 pouch (Tac 8 clip each), medic pouch (10 rnd tubes and co2, third Tac 8 clip) Leg holster and I have a HPA tank pouch on my upper back. My vest priced out at about $100.00. I can move and add whatever I need almost where ever I want it.

And welcome to the forums.

remember there is also the pack style pod holders that are only attached with your waist. They are more ommon and generally cheaper than a vest, although a vest may be more comfortable.

The special ops recon 6 vest is available for $30 now for a short time.

Thanks everyone,

I was looking more at the second and third vests I have listed as they are MOLLE and the pouches that are shown on them can be removed. I would get a spec-ops vest, but as I said I like the way the replica vests feel. And since they are MOLLE I can put the pouches on the back and not have to worry about trouble crawling. As for the marker I am using, a BT Combat.

Thanks,
TAMHSGT

Yeah, molle is nice, the only reason I am ordering that vest is because it is so cheap. I will not be using a radio or grenades, two of the front pouches. Or all of the pods all of the time. It's really just a cheap camelback for paintball that can carry paint and some other things.

... or just stick w/ what you have. Basically any pouch designed to hold 2 AK mags / 3 M16 mags will hold a 100 round pod. Most grenade pouches will hold 50 round pods, my S.O. ones do. APP also sells a 30 round tac pod, 3 of those will fit in a single M16 pouch.

And, welcome to the wonderful world of paintball where it's much harder to "play on" after you've been hit than it is in airsoft... although we certainly do have cheaters (wipers).

Yeah, you can. My sis' boyfriend gave me an old airsoft vest he had and it works just fine.

Cheaper than Dirt has an authentic Molle II vests made for wear over ballistic plates in early-middle iraq war, cheap as dirt (pun intended) but their out of Coyote Tan Molle pouches so I'm not going to get one. Any pouch that will hold 3 m16 mags will hold a 100 round pod. Molle gear works fine for me so I'd do it if your after that look.

Getting equipment made in America or a good Asian brand should fix that quickly. Many of the companies from Asia (obviously not mauri) make stuff that would probably break as soon as a paintball would hit it.
