within 3 hours of sending that email to e-tippmann i got a responce
I apologize for the delay in shipping. sales have been down considerably due to the economy and I have had to let a few people go. So I am doing everything myself right now and as my luck would be I ended up getting the flu/cold this weekend and it slowed me down quite a bit. So this was my fault personally and I sincerely apologize.
We had some issues last year with shipping because Tippmann was having major backorder issues because business was doing much better than expected. This led to some unhappy customers which led to messages complaining about us. Although a few were from one of our competitors which we later found out.
I did get your order shipped today though and it should only take 1 to 2 days tops to reach you in Illinois. The tracking info should be arriving to your email within the hour, if you do not see it soon just email me back.
I do appreciate your business and I'm trying hard to get business to pick up so I can hire some help so things will go more smoothly. If you need anything in the future please email me directly and I will save you as much as I can on your order to help make up for this time around.
part of me feels sorry for the guy now, but part of me smells BS

I thought it was UMS too. Until just a few weeks ago when I found the UMS sight. It didn't turn up on any searches back when I ordered. The company was called Hotshot Paintball. Had like 3 e-mails 3 Phone numbers. All phones were disconnected, no e-mails were ever returned.
Lucky for me I found the UMS site and now they're working it out. Hotshot vanished though, their only listed address was a PO box in MA, their site's gone too.
Anyway, I'm glad you got your stuff in the end!
Hopefully I'll get my money back... and / or a custom part for free.
