Mr owl, how many shots does it take to get to the end of a HPA bottle?
One, two, three........
The world will never know......

I have a question. How do you know how many paintballs you can get out of HPA? I know for CO2 it goes for every oz, you get 50 shots. I have been playing for 4 years and I think it's time for me to go to HPA but I don't know how much bang for my buck I'm getting......

47ci/ 68ci/88ci /114ci

How many shots do you get with 47ci/ 68ci/88ci /114ci

It depends on whether your tank is a 3k or 4.5k tank. A general rule of thumb for 3k tanks is that you multipy the ci by 10. Some goes for 4.5k except you multiply by 15.

The number of shots varies from marker to marker though. A spoolie won't get very good efficiency while a poppit marker will do much better.

Don't forget the 5000psi tanks too. There's some discrepancy as to number of shots but it's somewhere between 17 and 20 / cubic inch.

It depends more on the gun than the tank....

On a shocker you may get 700 shots off a 45 but with the same tank on a ego you may get 1000

Tippmann A-5 will get about 600 usuable shots from a 68/3000. With the 88/4500 filled to 3k on my A-5 I get 800ish. With my mag I get closer to a thousand. With a Cyborg or an ego you will get closer to 2000 shots with an 88/45 with a 3k fill. So it is dependent on the marker as well as size and pressure of the tank.

Just remember that all those formulae and calculators do NOT take into account the marker, mods, internals, operating pressure, velocity, ball diameter, barrel, porting, weather temperature, rate of fire, leaks (small as they are), and a slew of other factors.

The only real way to determine how many shots you will get is to put that specific tank on that specific marker, with that specific paint, in that specific weather...and start counting shots as they leave the barrel.

borrow a friends and load up a hopper, fire until empty, reload, fire, repeat until you're out of air (reusable paintballs suggested)

According to the calculator you should get between 1000 and 1300.
