I know this is kinda pedestrian for this forum, but I'm having trouble figuring it out on my own.

The ASA on my SP-1 crapped out on me and I'm looking for a replacement that will let me keep my wedge (I shoot almost exclusively CO2), but I don't know what to get. So many ASAs out there are dovetails, which I don't have, and wedge to dovetail adaptor to ASA seems too convoluted.

So my question is what ASA should I get that best fits my needs?

Well I found a few that angle DOWN for you...(opposite of what you want)

Honestly though, I don't think using a regular ASA will be a HORRIBLE deal for you. (Especially since the SP1/Vibe have such great protection against overpressure)

I found this one, which, when you factor in the fact that I'd need a drop or adaptor to fit most of the others out there, is comparable in price to most others. It still bothers me a bit that I'm paying a third of the price of my marker for it.

Another question though: Does a 90 degree joint even exist for braided stainless steel, in order to work with the side tapped ASAs?

yes they make 90 degree fittings for the steel braided lines.

If you don't have a field or pro-shop close by or looking for a specialized part you can go to Palmer's Pursuit Shop to get your fittings.

CP makes a direct mount asa, a direct mount on/off and a mini direct mount on/off. the last two would require the use of a 90* elbow.

Thanks a lot. I'm getting the CP direct mount, and I should be on to leak free paintball goodness before long.

There's always this:
http://www.forceproductsusa.com/Force-Prod...n-A5-_p_13.html

and this:
http://www.tippmannparts.com/New-DeSignz-A...amp;Click=24075

that should link right up to the frame...and then any asa onto that. This gives you the option of having the tank tilt upwards to go over your shoulder/arm or flip it around to angle it down [co2]
