i have a sim 4 ris elite .this marker is mainly for milsim tyou can see it at www.ariakon.com .This gun has a sniper or a assult type of view to it .there are many different types of upgrades. This gin has so far been to me not very reliable. Some times it works very good other times i wanna just get rid of it .The marker is very good for sniping .Its extremly accurate when it works and also very easy to zoom into the target with the bushnell scope .If i had to choose a marker in the beegining i would have choose diffentetly another gun. This gun has so far bein good for looks. When i walk into somwhere every ones like wow look at that! or what is that !can i test it out?

my spyder victor and spyder victor 2 back me up very well .i can depend on these when somthin goes wrong with the armotech.

Please, whoever reads this DO NOT go to the ariakon site, they are a fake armotech that is more expensive and less durable and realiable. Go to www.armotech.net.

Not to critisize or anything but reliability is a big part of having a good "sniper gun".

@TJ88: I thought they were the same thing...

TJ88...if you know so much about the lawsuit then you know you shouldn't post stuff like this on a public forum.

Ariakon is not a fake Armotech.

The short story is that the company that is now Ariakon use to be the U.S. distributor for Armotech.net (who is based in Europe). Ariakon did business in the U.S. under the Armotech.com domain name. When the two companies decided to part ways (for whatever reasons...I refuse to rekindle that fire) it was believed that the company now doing business as Ariakon had legal rights to use the .com name. Through arbitration (while a court case was filed it never went before a judge since both parties resolved the conflict outside of court...hence why it is called a settlement and not a judgement...big difference) and the name that company did business under changed to Ariakon.

The brief rundown is this. Ariakon produces the SIM series as well as the new ACP and Overlord pistols. They have a different design philosophy than Armotech and Warsensor. They are different, that's all. The SIM series generally speaking is lighter than the Armotech/Warseonsor line of products because they tend to use more composites in their markers and/or have less material on their metal parts.

I know this because I own the following: WS-66 Elite from Warsensor, a Zeus G1 from Armotech, a SIM-5 and a ACP Pistol both from Ariakon. I have also either seen or tried the WG-75+, the Zeus G2, G1+ and G2+, and the Ariakon SIM-4. I am very active on both the Armotech and Ariakon forums but work for niether company. Both companies make good products and each have their positive and negative sides. It's a matter of personal preference as to what you like better. Competition does nothing but bring out better products for us, the consumers. As a matter of fact, the Armotech line is undergoing a major switch as we speak (company just announced it on Jan. 20th) and that by the summer we will be seeing some new products and some improved products being made available to the public. Good things are happening.

Specifically speaking though, it is time to put this negativity of the legal battle behind us and realize that MilSim players all share the same passions no matter what marker they shoot.

<-----bangs head against wall.

No, Armotech is NOT out of business....

Here are the sites...

http://www.armotech.net (Parent Company in Europe)
http://www.armotech.us (New US main distributor. There is now also a West Coast distributor)
http://www.warsensor.com (Warsensor is a sister company to Armotech and has a very similar design)
http://www.ariakon.com (Formerly www.armotech.com and hence what leads to the confusion)

No one has gone out of business.

Edit: (Yes, you can edit posts) waht do you mean why does Ariakon have Armotech products on their site? They don't. Remember both companies make M-4/M-16/AR-15 and MP5 replicas so the markers will look SIMILAR but not identical. Option parts will also have a similar look and feel. Also, some older SIM-4s do have the Armotech name on them since they were produced while Ariakon was still doing business under that name before the agreement was reached.

Sure seems like you're trying to do more than tell people Armotech's not dead. Looks like you're trying to lie to the same people about another company. I happen to own 3 Ariakons and have found them to be less expensive and incredibly durable and reliable.

That's fine TJ, but then learn that there is a right way and a wrong way to do that. Yes, there is quite a bit of confusion regarding the two but liabelist remarks against one company or the other isn't the right way to do it. Also, .net is the parent company to Armotech. If the people you are trying to reach are in the US, then you need to give them the .us address as I have.

I have been around the entire "ordeal", for quite some time now. I used to get into the argument, but i stoped caring about the thing and moved on and bought myself a nice autococker, i still use my armotechs though, just not as much. And on a side note, i was one of the first people to buy the Gen1 gun back in August of 2002, i just found the invoice from armotech.COM, made me laugh.

its wise not to care, and argue about this. If people want to be stupid and beleive one is out of business or the other is fake, armotechs and ariakons are like apples and oranges.
Coming soon.

Vlar, if you think i am lieing do a little research on how Ariakon behaved a few years back. All im saying is that Ariakon is not Armotech, and I have personally found Armotech to be a better product than Ariakon.
