I would say Mini. Way more positive things about the Gen 2+ Minis then the SLG's.

It's like comparing the ego with a tippman 98 custom. Two different classes of markers.

Dye's response to the mini is the PMR.

Uh....No. Not at all. They are both beginner level electros.

An Ego which is one of the highest end guns. A Tippmann which is a very low-end gun made for durability and in the woods. I am not even gonna start about the tippmanns right now though.

Comparing an Ego to a Tippmann is crazy. A mini to an SLG, not so much.

I've heard a lot of bad things about the Proto SLG. Apparently, if you are good at marker maintenance, and don't mind fiddling with your marker a lot, the SLG will do alright. But they are very high-maintenance, and won't work well if you don't spend the time on them.

From what I've heard, the Mini is a much more reliable gun. But it is more expensive than your basic SLG.

However, I've heard the Proto SLG UL is more reliable than the SLG, but more expensive.

Or, for that same price, you could just get a used Etek 1 that will probably be better than either gun.

(just sharing my own research, because I was seriously considering the SLG for a while).
