If some of you may remember, a while back I posted up my BAR X7 made by Eric Engler.
If you dont remember what Ma Bess looks like..here she is:

Those two pics represent stage one. Thats how I got her from Engler. Well all was well and good, but there were some design problems with it that annoyed me, as well as other people. After posting a video of it on YouTube, I got requests to move the Wooden fore grip back so it eliminates that large gap between it and the marker body/magwell.

For a while I wasnt going to do anything about it, but after starring at it over and over again, I realized I had to change it..It just didnt look right. However, the first thing I needed was a Bi-Pod, so I bought one from Engler and had him paint it..thus giving us Ma Bess v2.0:

After getting that, I started work on moving the grip back...which turned out to be a longer process than I first anticipated. All good and well though, as it was worth it. Below is Ma Bess v3.0 with new Flasc barrel and grip moved back (note, I havent got the barrel painted yet..it will be soon)

Now that it is done, I move on to getting several things completed, all of which I will update my progress on here:
1) Sling attachment for the gas tube..so I can actually use a sling
2) Removal of the pistol grip (another big YouTube request) Jackson will be assisting with this
3) Finding a real BAR rear sight, modding it to fit
4) Finding a real BAR bi-pod, modding it to fit. The bipod that is on it is just too dinky and doesnt look right on Ma Bess.

Any other suggestions is more than acceptable :)

That looks 1000% better with the grip moved back! :)

Are you going to straight up remove the grip so you'll shoot it like the actual BAR? (Your hands must be far larger than mine if that's the plan! B))

My only suggestion, would be that once you're done, send it to engler again to get the flasc, bipod, rear sight, whatever painted to match :)

I imagine the grip was forward in the first place because of "Replica" issues? I heard about that a bit when looking at the AT4 and stuff.

Definitely very cool though, I'd love an Engler! ... Though I still don't get the idea of a "minimalist" Phenom...seriously taking off the Milsim/rails doesn't make sense because for the same price you could just buy a speedball marker xD

@ Tenacious
Im actually working on removing the pistol grip right now :) Hope it turns out! Also sent the barrel in to Engler to get painted. Its on its way too him. I probably wont get it back until he ships me Mosin Nagant Phantom back :D

@ cd
That I am not sure. I got to hold the minimalist Phenom while it was in its beta stages, I imagine the point was to make it look like some sort of pistol/Desert Eagle. Its actually pretty cool and really light.

After about 30 minutes worth of work and a 15 minute trip to Lowes because my dremel crapped out on me...Heres the pistol grip removed. I need to extend the trigger guard by using a 98C trigger guard and get another trigger..either a 98 or A5 trigger...so if anyone has one they are willing to donate to the cause...please let me know :D

I worked on it a bit last night and all I have to do is figure out how to attach the trigger and how it will operate. I also have to secure/paint the new back part of the trigger guard

Yes..it looks rough..I know. But its almost done. Very Beta stages..but I know how it make it fire consistently now..its just not secure 100%. Gotta love video decompression...ignore the retarded audio.

Your mod does really make it come together quite a bit better. And the mosin phantom is sooo awesome. I held the one he has in his shop at EMR over the summer and it is beautiful, he said the new ones have an even smoother stroke. I am defiantly going to save up for one

Thanks man. I know its been a while since my last update. Ive been working and doing other stuff. But I have been slowly refining the BAR. Its almsot done now.

As for the Nagant, mine has the version 2 bolt action on it. Its a very smooth pump. I love that marker.

Well heres the beta final stages. Im gonna work on filling in some of that trigger guard, but the trigger works just like a normal X7 trigger. Fires with much more stability now. Of course the 3 inch extension that the bipod is mounted on needs painted, but other than that, it feels like Im actually holding a BAR now, not some kind of pistol gripped variant :)
