Like the title says is there a city or area somewhere that seems to have 3+ easily accesible fields, shops and the like all in a convenient area?

As in all right next to each other? Doubtful.

As in within reasonable driving distance? Quite likely any large metro area.

Take my location. From where I live, I can reach 7 different fields in under 1 hour (2 of which are indoor). The indoor fields each have a in-house pro shop. On top of that, I can think of at least 2 brick stores I could go to buy paintball gear (actual paintball/airsoft stores, not counting stuff like wal mart) if I really wanted.

I'm sure other built up places are like that. Wherever there's enough of a market for it, there it will be. If there's not enough market for it, it'll only be one or two fields (if any at all).

Chicago had several within easy driving distance of me...I was in N. Chicago, and the fields were more North, some in Wisconsin...(I'm like 20 min from the border) There we a few nice woodsball fields, some good indoor speedballs, and even one or two outside fields...

Tulsa (where I live) has a decent amount of indoor and outdoor fields within 30 mins of each other, not to mention is only 1.5 hours (+/-) to DDAY. As for pro shops, there has to be close to a dozen in the entire metro.

Concord, NC has three fields within a 40 min drive, also has 3 shops. No Indoor, and no real good places to play speedball. But I play woodsball...

@ Locknpump - what's the endgame here? Are you looking to relocate to another area that has a lot of paintball, are you writing an article, are you just curious?

I noticed in another recent topic you just moved to an area SW of Columbus, OH. I know there are a handful of places down around there. There's an active group of guys here on the forums that play over in Glouster, they put on games & travel to other scenarios - could be worth you looking into: LINK. Though according to google it's a fair drive from you, I guess it depends exactly where you are & where they are.

Lucky. There is a field and shop in my town, but after that we have to drive at least 40 minutes for anything paintball.

I'm about a half hour north of EMR, about 2.5 hours west of West Point, 20 minutes east of a small commercial field with their full service pro-shop being about 10 minutes away (R&M Paintball), and now I'm about an hour south of Special Ops.

While not all in the same city, I think it's fairly impressive.

The end goal of this post id say is to give me an idea on the type of area that has a good selection and ease of use for paintball facilities, going off to college fairly soon id like to know if there will be things to do around it (not sure where i want to go just tryin to get ideas)

Northern VA has PEV's, as well as being close to Splat Brothers, Outdoor Adventures, and a couple other fields.

Charlotte has PBC Rock Hill, It's about an hour from Command Decisions, Predator Paintball is right there in Statesville, Gastonia has Behind Enemy Lines Paintball.

Those are the only two places I have experience with :/

My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.

If you live in pittsburgh, you are gonna need to drive. We have three rivers paintball (mission masters), but we also are about an hour and a half from battlefield paintball. Skirmish is like 3 or more.

My 2 cents...

What's your intended major?

Which schools are you looking at?

Yeah your really going to have to give us a look at what schools do you intend on possibly going to, i mean alot of larger universities are going to be in a larger city and have lots to do besides paintball but for the most part your going to be able to find some i know if you were to go to University of Michigan or (state) your only a few hours north of Special ops and there are some fields around U of M and if you were to go an hour or two your going to run into like 4-5 fields indoor and outdoor some woodsball places Hell Survivors which has monster game and stuff like that and then there are always rogue games going on everywhere that do offer paint, air, co2, etc.
