kinda random question but Has anyone ever had an experiance with a snake while crawling around on the ground or walking? Tell your stories here...say anything like a snake slithering and making a home in your ghillie while your trying to ambush the opfor...crawling up to a snake when you didnt even notice it until it decides to try to take a chunk out of you...whipping out your tally wacker in the middle of a game and the snake decides it hungry....just anything. I havent had an experiance yet and hope to never have one because i am terrified of snakes.

I was 12 years old, riding my BMX through the woods and a garter snake attacked my front wheel.

There was also the time I was camping and the tent was over the opening to a snake pit.

In paintball? Nope no such luck.

None in paintball. I like snakes though. I caught a garter snake and kept it in my room years ago. It got out and was loose in the house for 5 days until we found it in the bathroom. Thing shed its skin in our living room.

Ahh... I love Montana.

I don't tend to notice snakes on the field. When there are 3000 people running and screaming and shooting paintballs they usually hide. But if you are playing in the mid spring-early summer in a field that hasn't been played in a while you might have other luck.

Frontier Bill that looks more like a rattler, than a garter snake, what is it?

Never been so fortunate, but this is Arizona. I know they're out there. There's a reason I carry a REAL gun in my car. Not going to see any action on the field, but if it's in the camping area it may be the only choice.

That was a Bull Snake. Buggers can bite really friggin' hard but they are not poisonous. In fact - they eat rattlers. I found him in the middle of the road one night when going to tend to a few chores. He was enjoying the warm road in the cool night. He tried really hard to bite me there. I let him on his way after that.

The only close encounter with a snake for me was when i was like 5 years old and i was swinging on a swing and i got off and almost stepped on a copperhead. Scared me to death...until my dad came out with a shotgun and blew its head off...hehehe i thought that was so cool.

Couple times actually, but not when we were playing. It was always when we were walkin to and from games or during stealth-themed practices.

Was reffing a coupla weeks ago. I hit the ground 'cause I was suddenly between two groups...and come face to face(bout a foot or so) with a copper head (for those who dont know that is one hell of a poisonous snake) I was scared DOO DOOless (and i'm not affraid to admit it) I had a player who was walking out come over and put a few balls into its head, mean, maybe, heartless, deffinately. But I'm not trading my life for a snakes. I sat out the next game.

man i would have felt the same way. I would have been terrified. But i dont think it is mean or heartless. I know a snake is one of god's creatures but if you can remember...the snake (Satan) got Adam and Eve to eat the apple....so therefore i think most snakes are evil...except for those little bitty grass snakes.

I live in georgia on Ft. Benning. I was out on FTX with my company and it was about lunch time. One of the drill sergeants I work with told me to grab an MRE so I go over to the open case, pull back the flaps and there's a LIVE RATTLER in the friggin MRE box. They intentionally put it there to scare me but I used to play with snakes all the time when I was younger so I casually looked back and said "Hey there's a snake in this box. Maybe we should open another one." In retrospect I should have bitten it or something manly like that.

No Snakes, But Well Alaska go figure. But I had a moose almost step on me while I was setting up an ambush. I had crawled into this little depression and was waiting for a good shot and I heard what I thought was some gungho newb blasting through the under brush. so I waited to see if he was friendly or not and OOOHH CRAAAP.. I'm just glad I didn't jump out of my skin and spook him. Every one started shooting at each other and it ruffled his feathers enough that he moved on. I took a much needed change the shorts break....
