Do you guys think a pump scenerio on the scale of 200-300 players per side would be possible? The obvious problems one runs into are that the majority of paintball players do not play pump, and allowing people in with semi's would not be fair, and would take away from the purpose of the event. I know there are many pump tourneys, but I have never heard of a scenerio comprised entirely of pump players. You could give it an old timey theme, such as the Revolutionary or Civil War. Perhaps you could allow pistols, to allow a broader audience?

It's an idea I've been kicking around for a long time.

I went to PP last weekend, and there was around 250 people per side. It was a blast to do, everybody was in great spirit, there was no overshooting, and you had to rely on snap shooting and teamwork instead of raw firepower.

That's too bad, I wish I'd known earlier. Not that I'd likely have been able to travel to PA, but I'd have loved to have been there.

What do you guys think about the possibility of regional pump scenerios? There are an audience for pump tourneys accross the country, I see no reason why not.

This was posted on our team formums by our good buddy Splatter out of the Vegas area...

The Old School Challenge and A Pirate's Paradise Paintball are hosting a PUMP-ONLY Scenario event on April 16 and 17, 2011 in beautiful Mesquite, Nevada. Mesquite is less that 90 minutes north of Las Vegas, and has been the location for several SPPL qualifiers and the 2010 SPPL World Finals.

Come on down and help pump team FrontKick2theSternum support pump play and paintball in general, and have a blast!

I was at pumpers too. There was not 250 per side though, maybe 75 or so. On a side note, as soon as they found the red stabler, I walked off and started drinking.

I was also at pumpers. I dont know what the numbers were this year, it seemed much smaller than normal. However the record amount in the past was between 350 and 400 players.

Maybe not, but I couldn't keep track of the people, all I knew is that there were a good amount of people for a fairly large field.

And for the people that were there, I was wearing a purple shirt rocking a pink phantom haha.

Oklahoma DDay has a Pump/pistol mini game during the week.

Usually 300-500 players in that.
