Yea, I agree with HellStorm.

SpecOps shouldn't make new positions, because the ones now are just guidelines, or ideas. You should find your own style of play, the one that's specific to you.

You should define your position by how you play, you shouldn't define how you play by your position.

We are in SCENARIO positions forum right?

I don't see what the point of having any positions at all if you just go by how you play? whats the point?

I like the idea of training and practicing a certain style or position, it is a cool feature of the brigade page and should be developed more.

there is definitely room for more positions on the brigade page, why not make some new positions?

The gear load for a Javelin and Grenadier would be profitable for specops, ( vest pouches and such )

I haven't really involved myself in the position discussion, but i do genuinely ask why Javelin (aka anti-tank) is not actually a position. true, it's scenario specific, but it's even on the brigade under log your play.

Positions make it hard for me to decide what I'm actually doing on the field. I consider myself a Broadsword, but could also be a Hammer or a sabre. I also play as a spotter for our sniper, which could post me as a sniper or a dagger. Finally, I am our team's leader... so there fore a CO. I also carry grenades, making me a grenadier... yeah. I play every position in one position. The positions are there for guidelines only; they give your Brigade page a Description box so you can further explain your unique style of play. No one person plays like anyone else.
Classify what you want to be, but only to confuse the guy that tries to study your play habits so he can beat you.

EDIT: Oh, and if I were to recommend positions that I've seen, I'd say spotter first (guy that camos like a sniper, but runs a different weapon load, or better yet, he distracts people from discovering the snipers position after firing) or a grenadier (guy either carries a mounted launcher that fires grenades like the Sceptre or HAVOC so they are legal, or carries multiple hand grenades and prefers them to using his marker.)

Lastly, an idea that has most likely been suggested before, but classes for pistol or pump users (for those individuals who go above and beyond the normal boundaries and make us all feel like losers because they own us with a single shot pump or run around like some assassin with two pistols.)

Just my 18 1/2 cents.

Most often I am a Sabre, especially during woodsball but that can change given the circumstances. At scenario games I often arm myself with a pistol only and run missions for the general. Now, what I do isn't simply walking the field for props, what I do is shield-escort a NPC, post/steal flags, and out-and-out haul for any and all missions. A lot of times I've dived into buildings on the wrong sides of firefights, slid over bunkers, and grabbed stuff and bugged out. This is not a scout, this is not a light gunner, this is being armed the BARE minimum and running the gauntlet. I'm putting forward the idea of the Transporter. (and if you can think of a better name let me know)

I personally think if they called it the Gopher, it would be very funny. (go-for this, go-for that)
