Double trouble has been found a local pawn shop, there is a police investigation in progress.

congrats on getting that DT back, I'm sure the droid will come along shortly. Its only a matter of time, I would think that they would be able to track the robber down through the pawn shop.

What is the world coming to when a paintball marker as beautiful as that droid has to live in fear of being abducted from its own home.... Glad they found these guys and I hope you get that beautiful droid back. I have always loved that marker since you first posted pics of it on the forums.

If you play your own game of paintball using Spec ops as guidelines and not as "law of position", put this in your sig.

I hope the thief gets it in an uncomfortable place...

...and I don't mean in the back of a Volkswagen.

Ladies and gentlemen....it has been two years now. Last night, dude busted...in jail...gun back in Ronins hands!

We never really gave up the search. The locals around here who knew about this kept their eyes open and ears to the wall for this beauty.

A Craigslist add was found by a local friend.
SniperSteve is part of the Devil's Brigade in Eastern Washington.
He is one of those guys who buys and sells gear like a stock market day trader to pay for his habit!
He found the add in the toys+games section under the title "Best paintball gun around"

The wording was just enough to see past the theif's stock online photo and Steve posted in our team forums. Boomer moved the tread to a private section and phone calls were made.

Ronin had the gun back in his hands with the help of the local Sheriffs dept and his wife performing a sting purchase from the seller. From Steves post in our forums to Ronin calling me back from a parking lot with the sheriffs finishing up the details...4 hours and 33 minutes!

Love the friendships this sport can create! Thank you so much SniperSteve!!

From Ronin58 on our private forums...

I think i'm still in shock!!!!

The guy that had it had a record and his dad did aswell but a bit off and was a complet ass hat taking advantage of our system. This guy was apparently was not bright, he actually told the police he was hoping that the rightful owner would come forward so he admitted he new it was stolen, then my wife had cash in hand and was brokering a deal and he accepted and got trafficking stolen property and one more was added as well but i cant remember. The whole thing took about a 2 hours to put together, we met them at the Casa da Oro on the Argonne exit and then they and my wife met him across the street form Splash down at mission park. My wife confirmed it was mine with a secret body touch, and the men in blue rolled in. I believe there were probably 20 officers in total. 3 unmarked cars mini vans plains clothes it was seriously like watching T.V.

I am almost 100% that it hasn't been aired up at all it was funny because i remember servicing it before it was stolen and i still had a few screws loose, and it was in the same mod i left it in. :D

Love hearing stories like this - I mean, when they get resolved and people re-united with their stuff; jerks charged or put away.

Congrats!!

Dude, you got lucky, after 2 years, this marker is still hanging out where you live. I figured it would have grown legs and walked far far away.

Funny we offered him 500.00 to hold it because we weren't sure the police would get involved. I used a lot of local resources to make this happen, In the beginning I was told by our local crime check to wait till Monday and get a hold of a property detective , We fudged a little and told them that there would be alot of players looking for this guy ASAP and it could get ugly real quick. We called a few friend that were also on the force and on duty ( thank you. My wife, I and a friend were on our way out the door to just buy it "asswoopin"( probably not) when the LOCAL PD CALLED US!!!! We told them what was going down and the met us at the half way point ,we briefed them, they briefed us, and my wife made the DEAL. My buddy and I waited at a local Mexican restaurant while the police took my friends truck and my wife for the purchase. The guy walked there from his house while my wife and a Sergeant (hot female)waited in the truck. My wife got out and talked to the guy and ID my marker. At that time my wife gave a secret hair flick move that let the rest of the PD come in and grab the guy ( Boys In Blue). He had many stories to tell, all were BS. He knew it was stolen, and he got 3 or 4 charge's (felony charges). This is not his first crime for him.
