Hey guys, I was just wondering if you could switch the 11" barrel that is on the Alpha Black and make it like a 16" or something other than the 11"? I wasn't sure if you could do that or not. Also, if you can, I was wondering how you do it. Thanks!

Oh, so you don't have to take anything apart? Like any part of the gun. I figured you would have to do more than just screw it off. Well, anyways, Thanks. Much appreciated!

Just be sure to buy a barrel that has the correct threading at the end of it. The Alpha Black uses the 98 Custom barrel threads. Aside from that you simply unscrew the old one and screw in the new one.

^^^What he said. 98 Custom threads for the barrel.

I got a 16" barrel one time, and I soon discovered that it was just too long to be practical. And this was back in my "sniping" days. It's hard to move around, it makes your gun less efficient, and don't make you any more accurate.

I would recommend a 14" barrel.

J&J and CP make good barrels for great prices!!!

Yep. Most markers use an o-ring to provide friction to stop the barrel from unscrewing itself. The 98 threads look like whats on the bottom of this: Pic link (the actual pic was not working on the forum)
They are very thick and big because that way, tippmann could cast the threads into their 98 receivers, instead of milling them out or making a milled barrel adapter like on the A-5. It was easier and cheaper to do.

There is one more thing to think about, the Outside Diameter of the Stock Barrel on the ABT is a little more than 1" and that the Stock Barrel is what holds the Front Sight and Handguard combination from wobbling.

That being said, you'll be needing a barrel that has the same outside diameter as the Stock Barrel, if you want to keep the Front Sight and Handguard combination from wobbling, I found this out with my ABT, in which I used a 16" Barrel with a diameter of 7/8 I had lyin around and the Handguard Assembly wobbled alot.

And if the barrel you pick isnt that thick around, the best you can do is use Black Electrical Tape and wrap it around the Barrel where the Front Sight will be sitting and to avoid any bouncing and wobbling the Handguard Assembly

Alright guys thanks. One more question. Does anybody know how many paintballs per second this gun shoots? I can't find it anywhere on the internet, so I was just wondering if anyone knows it.
